After a string of incredible singles that kept fans on the edge of their seats, the wait for Yung Lean’s newest full-length offering, Stranger, is finally over. The 14-track project has no features, giving us a personal look into Lean’s life with hypnotic, melancholy cadences and a simply beautiful atmosphere of vulnerable songs. After years in the spotlight, Yung Lean still continues to grow as an artist and a person by means of calculated, thoughtful releases, and in sitting with his album I’ve found that his latest effort is no exception. Stranger weaves through the mental space that the Swedish artist has been in throughout the making of the album in a fashion that gives fans a comprehensive look into his mind, setting the tone for one of his most personal releases to date that will undoubtedly be marked as one of 2017’s standout projects. In addition to the album, the Stockholm artist also delivered a Western-inspired short film by the same name that you can watch here. Stream Stranger below.
