Watch the BTS for Lil Yachty’s “Poland” Video

Last week on Thursday we were sitting here in the Lyrical Lemonade office in Chicago, and a snippet of Lil Yachty’s “Poland” music video had just dropped and was going viral. All of the guys around the office had the track stuck in their heads and we were watching the moment unfold live in front of our eyes when suddenly, Cole walked into the kitchen and yelled “I’m going to New York tomorrow to shoot Poland with Yachty!”. The next morning, Cole + our BTS cameraman Noah Keckler were on a flight to New York where they spent the day shooting for Yachty in SoHo – and we just dropped the behind-the-scenes from the shoot on our Lyrical Lemonade 2 channel! The music video itself has already accumulated 2.5 million views in about 18 hours, and it is currently the #2 most trending video on YouTube! Take a few minutes out of your day to see how this masterpiece was created below!

612.Light – Paralyzed

Music can be used in one daily life as an effective form of therapy to provide an outlet for emotions. As an artist, writing music has the power to channel our emotions into a song that can now resonate with millions of people around the world. 612.Light from Cleveland, Ohio used his music to discuss broken relationships and messy situations he experienced during his childhood that one could only imagine. Deeply influenced by the late Juice Wrld and Iann Dior, the rising artist has developed a wave of his own. Since releasing his singles “Killbunk”, “Lil Shock”, and Gee Hues, 612.Light has gained thousands of fans and streams. Earlier this year, he shared his latest track “Paralyzed” featuring Killbunk. “On my track Paralyzed featuring Killbunk, I expressed the path it took me to get to the top. I’m basically saying that they are “paralyzed” to see that I actually made it and this is my reality now. While there is no time for visuals, me and my team are avidly working on putting together a banger for all to enjoy in the near future.” he stated. The melodic record did a wonderful job showcasing his dynamic sound and vibrating hook. …

Can’t Fw It – [Kear]

Philly artist Kear just released a new video for the hard-nosed “Can’t Fw It” – produced by the legendary Nedarb – and in every way, it’s a deeply exciting dive straight into the deep-end of a burgeoning creative scene happening right now. Front and center, of course, is Kear, whose punk-shaded style and singular eye for aesthetics have only sharpened with each new release. She proudly declares herself a rockstar, and line by line, song by song, is dead set on proving it – from the clothes she wears to the production she chooses, the energy she brings, and everything in between. What helps to make “Can’t Fw It” such a standout release even beyond this, though, is its display of the full-stop creative scene that Kear, Yori, Tina, Don (all credited below), and several others are building for themselves right now. Every detail in “Can’t Fw It” belongs to this scene of people making the things that they want to see, hear, watch, wear, etc. And as such, every aspect of the video feels cohesive, driven by a throughline of DIY authenticity that you can’t but applaud – especially when someone like Nedarb jumps in the mix, who has participated …

Cash Cobain Teams Up With Rising Bronx Artist Tata on “Back It Up”

One of the hardest producer/rapper rising from Bronx, New York right now is Cash Cobain. You might know him by his producer tag “And this beat from cash not from Youtube” or his viral hit “My Everything” by B-Lovee, a flip of a classic Mary J. Blidge record, The 23-year-old artist, has been crowned the originator of the style “sample drill“, a sound that has transformed the identity of drill in NYC by introducing 90’s R&B, 2000’s pop, and even gospel to the genre. One of the main reasons why I love exploring Cobain catalog is that he constantly collaborates with various NY artists to create magic. Earlier this year, the two-fold rapper released his 2022 collaborative project with Chow Lee titled 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy with fan favorite tracks “Vacant” and “Jholiday.”  On August 25, Cash Cobain debuted his new single “Back It Up” featuring Tata, the Bronx’s freshest breakout star. The single features Cash’s signature auto-tune-heavy, electric flow over a lightning-paced kick-drum, subtle hi-hats, and an ethereal sample-flip––reminiscent of notes from the rising Jersey Club scene. The @Qasquiat shot video features both artists enjoying a pool party amongst beautiful women and some of their friends. Next month, you can expect Cash …

BIG BODY – Itai

It’s clear that our childhood has a major effect on our adulthood. It’s difficult to create a better life when opportunities are limited around you. Growing up, rising artist Itai from Los Angeles grew up with the hopes of providing a better life for his family. With two siblings and a single mother, times were rough. However, he knew from early on, that he wanted to take matters into his own hands. Having a mom with a rock and roll/ country background and a father with a Moroccan /Israeli music background, played a major influence on Itai having an ear for music. His love for the Armenian-American heavy metal band System of a Down was another key factor in pursuing a career in music. “I just want to be able to retire my parents. I’m inspired to also leave a message to those with mental health issues, drug abuse and abandonment issues,” he stated.”I’ve dealt with depression my whole life and I want to be able to take people’s pain away through music even for a split second the way the artists did for me when I was growing up.” Not only has Itai been an artist for two years, …

Johnny Lugautti Teams Up With Superstar Kevin Gates For New Single Titled “Prada Me.”

Emerging artist John Duff, better known as Johnny Lugautti, has accomplished many great achievements in a short span of time. Inspired by Lil Wayne and Young Thug, Lugautti’s style and melodic flow distinguish the rising artist from his peers. The North Carolina rapper has landed collaborations with Snap Dogg, DJ Luke Nasty, JD Daigotti, and a few others. Last month, Lugautti teamed up with industry superstar Kevin Gates for a new single titled “Prada Me”. “It was big for me, Kevin Gates, one of the GOATs of the game, so that was huge for me. The song is basically saying no matter how good my dad did in life, I still wanna be better than him and that he’s proud of what I’ve become,” He shared. I know everybody was skeptical about the rockstar thing… but in due time everyone was “ Prada Me“ for being a rockstar and I honestly ain’t did sh*t yet.” The emotion provoking beat was created by platinum producer Jay P Bangz. Both artists joined forces to create metaphoric verses with an addicting hook. Shot by @MisterReeseFilmz, the visuals racked up 85,000 views and counting thus far. Check out the visuals to “Prada Me” below.

Behind The Scenes of Central Cee’s “Doja” Music Video

Just a few minutes ago we released the brand new music video for “Doja” by Central Cee, and it’s already amassed nearly 200,000 views in just about 15 minutes. To complement the release of the official video, we just put out the behind-the-scenes from that visual on our Lyrical Lemonade 2 channel. It’s very rare to find Cole shooting a music video overseas, and even more rare to have a BTS along with it, so this is a treat to LL fans all-around. Take some time out of your Thursday to check out this new BTS below!

God Hired You to Be My Baby – [grandma]

Music, or more specifically hip-hop in general, doesn’t always have to be an eardrum-busting, flex-filled soundscape in order for a song to come out great, and if anyone knows this better than anyone, it’s grandma. While he probably leans more towards a genre like alternative, there are definitely some hip-hop-adjacent elements that come into play, so I think that it isn’t unheard of to mention him and the genre in the same sentence. Nonetheless, he might not always release music quite as often as some of his counterparts in the industry, so that just means that you need to listen when he puts out something new. As he gears up to release his EP Angelhood next month on August 12th, grandma has already gifted us a handful of unforgettable singles like “I Met God Online” and “Blue Atlanta”, but I think the song that has me most excited for this project is his brand-new offering “God Hired You to Be My Baby”. The production is laid back and driven by a guitar melody, but grandma’s voice is just so powerful and convicting that no matter what he is singing about or when he sings it, there is nothing in this …
