Eye Of The Beholder – [Sterling Hayes]

Over the past few years, Sterling Hayes has made himself a mainstay in the Chicago music community, and today he is back on our site with his brand new EP titled Eye Of The Beholder. Sterling has been applying the pressure with all of his project releases over the past year or so, as he’s been seemingly dropping a fire tape every few months, and this new offering here is an instant standout for me. One thing I have noticed with Sterling lately is that his ear for production has improved tremulously, he has been rapping over some of the best instrumentals of his career over the past couple of tapes, in my opinion, and these seven beats provided here are all amazing. Sterling didn’t take the stellar production for granted though, he managed to take each beat + craft it into one great song after another, inevitably, making for an awesome EP. Flirting With Death – [Sterling Hayes]

About a month or two back, I had the honor of having an early listen at Sterling Hayes upcoming project that I was highly anticipating, and just a few days ago he finally dropped off the final product titled Flirting With Death. As I have sat with this project and ran it back multiple times through a few things stood out to me; the production, Sterling’s self-analyzing he did on the tape and how much Sterling has improved as an artist over the years. I don’t think that can be overlooked in the least, Sterling has always had a massive amount of potential but was battling both inner & outside adversities, and with this project I personally feel like he has hit his full stride, and painted a vivid picture of what he has gone through up to this point. In terms of the self-observing that he did, I was impressed with Sterling’s courage to be able to speak about plenty of topics that would make most people uncomfortable such as suicidal thoughts, family issues and overcoming drug addictions. When we look back at some of the best Chicago projects of 2020, I am positive that this project by Sterling Hayes …

The Sterlz – [Sterling Hayes]

Sterling Hayes has been gearing up to drop a full-length album this year but before he releases that project, he was kind enough to bless his fanbase with a new free mixtape titled “The Sterlz”. This tape has nine tracks in total and finds Sterling Hayes addressing several real-life subjects all while putting out ear-pleasing songs at the same time, serving as something to hold Sterling fans over until the release of his forthcoming album. Sterling Hayes has been a Chicago gem for some years now but lately, he seems to be hitting a real stride + putting out some of the best material of his career, and I only expect him to do more damage in the near future. Stream this brand new mixtape below and if you like what you hear then follow Sterling on Twitter here to stay in tune with him for when he drops his official album later this year!

Hearsay – [Sterling Hayes]

It’s been a minute since we have received some new content from Chicago native & Savemoney rep Sterling Hayes, but a couple weeks back he made his return with his brand new offering titled “Hearsay” featuring Space Buddah and Jason Ivy. Within the first thirty seconds of this track i was extremely interested with the beautiful instrumental that quickly got blessed with some even better vocals, paving a golden path for Sterling to hop on the beat and absolutely go crazy. I am very familiar with Sterling’s catalog but this is by far my favorite song that he has ever released, it’s awesome to see him getting back into his craft, this is a heart touching song that finds him really getting personal and airing out his problems, something his fans will resonate with. While Chicago has been known as a reputable city in hip-hop for numerous years now, this revered position has not arrived without the constant innovation and hard work of the artists that so faithfully represent the prowess of their home city. It is these artists that we have to credit for this respected reputation, and we here at Lyrical Lemonade try to honor this in every way possible by constantly bringing new Chicago acts into our headlines here on our website. That said, 2018 has been yet another fantastic year for Chicago music, so we went ahead and compiled a list of our “Top 50 Chicago Projects” of the year. This now marks the third year that we have been putting out this list, and we believe that it’s safe to say this year’s list might just be the most solid one from top to bottom that we’ve seen yet. Thank you to our terrific writing staff for all of the hard work they have put in this year, I will be linking their socials below so be sure to contact them about getting featured on the website in the future. Anxiety – [Sterling Hayes]

The youngest artist in Chicago’s Savemoney group is Sterling Hayes and he has been a common name on our website, and tonight he is back with his brand new music video for “Anxiety”. This record was a stand out for me and many others on Sterling Hayes SideFX project, and I believe I speak for a great majority of his fans when I say that this fantastic visual made that already stellar track that much better. Sterling was very honest on that previously mentioned project as a whole, but this track had a great amount of truthful bars and to see it receive a somewhat cartoon looking music video to help bring that feeling to life is awesome. Check out this brand new visual below and if you like it keep up with Sterling’s career by giving him a follow on Twitter here. produced by Spanish Diego & Nate Fox Directed by Jitta On The Track • Animated by Chris Weigen

Distress – [Sterling Hayes] Ft. [TheMind]

Chicago native & Lyrical Lemonade favorite Sterling Hayes is making his return to our platform today with the premiere of his brand new music video for “Distress”. This record itself was arguably my favorite off of Sterling’s SideFX project that dropped a couple months ago, but the video is so impressive that it makes me like the track that much more, so shout out to the director Troy G for bringing this song to life. Check out this dope new music video below and afterwards be sure to keep up with Sterling by giving him a follow on Twitter!

SideFX – [Sterling Hayes]

SAVEMONEY’s Sterling Hayes is a familiar face here at LL and today, we are proud to premiere his new project titled SideFX. Coming in at 14 tracks, the full-length effort takes on a full voyage of emotions from the Donterio Hudson-assisted Nausea, Bipolar with Smoko Ono, Anxiety and of course, the pre-project single in Drowsiness with Chance The Rapper, Kami, Potash Twins, Via Rosa & Teddy Jackson. Besides the massive feature list that continues with Stan Sono, Malcolm London, Carter Lang, Brill, TheMIND, Papi Beatz and Studio Steve, the solo efforts such as Suicide & Insomnia were some of the most powerful tracks on the album in which Hayes was not hesitant to hold back on his factual bars that made the pair of tracks one of several standouts throughout. Having said that, this is arguably Sterling’s biggest project to date and I highly recommend you take the time to take in the 14 tracks in their entirety. So, be sure to dive into SideFX immediately and let us know which songs you’re rocking with in the comments section below!

Drowsiness – [Sterling Hayes] Ft. [Chance The Rapper]

Chicago native and Savemoney front runner Sterling Hayes is finding himself back on our platform today with his brand new offering titled “Drowsiness” featuring Chance The Rapper. This record is five minutes long and it takes you through a roller coaster of different ear pleasing melodies & stellar verses, Sterling really expressed his ability to create a creative & addictive sound on this one. This new joint is the second single off of Sterling’s forthcoming project SideFX, which drops on May 29th, and if the past two singles have anything to say about what the entire tape is about to sound like it looks like we are in for a real treat. Stream this brand new tune below and if you like it be sure to keep up with Sterling by giving him a follow on Twitter here! Produced by Spanish Diego & Nico Segal

Schizophrenia – [Sterling Hayes] x [Stan Sono]

Chicago native Sterling Hayes is certainly no stranger to our platform, and this morning he is making his way back on our pages with his brand new offering titled “Schizophrenia” featuring Stan Sono. The first thing that caught my attention on this one was undoubtedly the smooth, jazzy & addictive production that was handled by his right hand man Spanish Diego, before Sterling jumped on the beat and gave his all with a stellar performance. Sterling rapped his ass off for damn near four minutes straight, picking the pocket of the beat perfect the entire way through & blessed us with a ton of wisdom in his rhymes. I really liked this new joint and I believe you will too, stream it below and if you like it be sure to give Sterling a follow on Twitter here!
