King – [Serena Isioma]

Serena Isioma is one of my new favorite artists out of Chicago, Serena makes music that is unique + tasteful, and she has an extremely likable personality. Her project Sensitive was one of the best tapes to come out of the city this year, and she hasn’t let up just yet, as she is back with a brand new music video for “King”. This visual finds Serena seemingly going through a day in her life, as it starts with her waking up + making some tea before it shifts into an entire party scene with her + the homies. There are many interesting shots in this one from performance shots to a ton of interesting + mind-boggling light effects, shout out to the video director Mike Del Rosario for helping Serena create this masterpiece. This isn’t anything you want to miss out on, take some time out of your day to watch this brand new visual below!

Drugs and Flowers – [Egovert] & [Cash Bently]

Out of the entire underground music scene, Egovert is undoubtedly one of my absolute favorite artists making music. His dexterity is unbelievable, his charisma is captivating, and his sheer talent is undeniable, to say the least. He just has such a special talent of pushing the boundaries no matter how wild or unbelievable they might seem, but he does so in such a tasteful manner that he’s definitely an artist you need to keep an eye on. Cash Bently is a talent that I’m less familiar with, but I have heard some of his music previously and I think it’s safe to say that he can be described and categorized quite similarly to his fellow Virginia counterpart. When I talked to Ego and he told me he had a collaborative project on the way with Cash, I couldn’t wait to tune in and see what kind of hecticness that the two were going to bring to life. Considering Ego’s last EP was Kids These Days, one of my favorite projects overall this entire year, I was expecting something even wilder. Despite my anticipations, after listening to Drugs and Flowers, quite the opposite vibe happened in the best possible way. Rather …

#USNOTTHEM – [Zee! and Stef]

The concept of simply “playing it by the books” is something of a prevailing attitude that the grander underground music scene holds true from a spectacle. Because this landscape is so young, so fresh, and so appealing at its core, acts have the ability to consistently go about their careers in an effectively consistent manner — one that does not stray too far away from challenging any conventions that their scene already hasn’t challenged on its own.   But when artists go above and beyond and dare to pave new lanes and execute a concept never before accomplished before or since in their respective scene, that is when pure and utter magic is created, and magic that will stand the test of time much longer than any run-of-the-mill offering could ever even dream of doing.   As it currently stands this year, perhaps no other project has worked to put this notion in its fullest and most heightened effect than the newest full-length offering from Zee! and Stef entitled #USNOTTHEM.    This 6-track project is an anomaly in only the absolute best ways imaginable. These two are certainly large figures in the rising new wave of hip-hop and pop bursting …

Tell Me – [Helix Tears]

As if this fact could ever be lost within the rising cast of talent that make up the next era of pop music, the essence of collaboration as it currently stands between them is alive, well, and thriving at arguably its highest level yet in regards to their musicianship. And though this is certainly the case among these figures on a singular level, it makes it that much more clear when they join their various collectives up for a resounding cypher on occasion.    Though these moments were all-too-rare at one point, they have seen their frequency rise as each and every collective begins to find their footing in the scene. And no collective has their footing as stable and as secured among them than Blackwinterwells’s very own Helix Tears — who has just rounded up acts from the likes of Gooncity, NoHeart, Novagang, and plenty more for their newest lengthy cut entitled “Tell Me.”   15 different artists align this absolute mammoth of a feature list, and they are all held in ideal symmetry and with perfect care by the outstanding work on production from two of the most in-demand producers in the scene itself: Delto and Angelus. The …

Old – [Stef]

There is no collective currently working – at least in regards to the rising pop scene as it stands – that is quite as prolific as Novagang. This group of generational artists act like and perform like they are exactly that: simply generational — as in groups with this much talent come along once in a blue moon, and based on the amount of content they bring to the scene week by week and even day by day, they are taking full advantage of this opportunity that they have worked to gain for so long now. One of their most defining facets is found in their wide cast of styles and approaches to the scene, with all of their members having slightly different stylistic takes with mostly the same results coming from them despite their differences. For a better picture on this sentiment being illustrated in full, there is no one better to look to than Stef, who’s just come through with their most anthemic, moving, and singular track yet in “Old.” This track takes a step-by-step approach to pop music that sees its facets building up towards something of a journey of a single once it’s all said and …

Endorphins – [Tobi Lou]

Tobi Lou has been blessing his massive fanbase with sensational content seemingly every single week for a minute now, and late last night, he continued that trend with his new release titled “Endorphins”. I have raved about Tobi Lou + his talents time and time again on our website, he is easily one of my favorite artists in the world so I do have that bias, but without that considered, he really does keep outdoing himself with every release. This track here is a little more of a slower-paced song compared to a lot of Tobi’s music, he got introspective on this joint which I enjoyed, and then at a certain point, he picked up the tempo in a tasteful way. Tobi is a Chicago treasure that we need to champion more as a city, I believe he will be regarded as one of the best from Chicago all-time when it’s all said and done. A massive statement considering the greats that have come from these streets, but I stand by it. Stream this new joint via Spotify below!

Summer With You – [Jasmine Pecson]

This afternoon we have a creative that goes by the name of Jasmine Pecson who is making her debut on our website with her brand new release titled “Summer With You”. I discovered Jasmine’s music just by browsing through the hundreds of submissions that I received today, and this song instantly made a good impression on me. It’s a soft + glossy record that finds Jasmine delivering an ode to a relationship of hers in a tasteful way. This is the type of record that I feel like I could hear on a radio station if it well upon the right ears, and it still has that potential considering that it just came out today. Take a couple of minutes of your time below to listen to this new tune below! Produced by Wade08 • Mixed & Mastered by Jorge Hernandez

9teen-[david hugo] feat. [Slush Puppy]

Feel good music is what I live for and anytime I come across artists who specializes in this area, it is imperative to shed as much light on them as possible. I’ve been admiring singer/songwriter, david hugo for a very long time now and today its my pleasure to bring him on to the page of Lyrical Lemonade for the release of his brand new song 9teen.  If you’ve stumbled on david’s instagram page before, you would know  that the up and coming star has an amazing look and aesthetic that exudes a positive energy that is utterly infectious. His sprit is undeniably bright and his music is even brighter. The track that just dropped today is a upbeat pop ballad that proves david to be someone who you need to keep an eye out for. His ability to create simple yet catchy hooks wile integrating melodic verses is a gift that shines through on this one from start to finish. The intentional production wastes no space and allows the Southern California based talent to show off his best attributes. What makes this tasteful offering even sweeter is that david hugo enlisted help from Carlsbad artist, Slush Puppy as well. …

Circles-[The Lost Boys] feat. [2 Man Embassy]

The Lost Boys have been an evolving DJ duo who I’ve had my eye on for some time now. Back in 2018, their song “Sober” took the internet by storm and is now sitting at a whopping two-million streams on Spotify alone. Since then, Andy Mueller and Brett Beaudette have rolled out a plethora of original singles and amazing remixes of songs that you definitely know. In a genre like Electronic, anything goes, and the Lost Boys have created a name for themselves by playing by their rules and creating the music that reflects their innate creativity. To follow along with their stellar singles, The Lost Boys just recently dropped a brand new offering that is worth your ear. The latest track called, “Circles” is classic Lost Boys style. Meaningful lyrics surrounded by tasteful production that will get you on your feet until the song is over. What’s best about this new one is that The Lost Boys tapped in fellow duo, 2 Man Embassy to add their own flare to this well rounded piece. I was able to get some insight as to how this collaboration came about and Andy from The Lost Boys explained: “Blake Martin and I from …

Big Hot Cheeto – [Sada Baby]

A lot of times as artists begin to gain larger and larger fan bases, their music output tends to slow down because they’ve got a bigger sample of people they simply want to please. As far as Sada Baby is concerned, this doesn’t even cross his mind because he knows the fact that no matter how much music he puts out, he knows he’s going to make some fire. Even though he has put out a couple of full projects already this year as well as a slew of singles and music videos, he just never seems to slow down which is even more impressive because of the unbelievable amount of energy he brings to each track. Just as the weekend was about to hit, Sada decided to bless fans once again with another random loosie entitled “Big Hot Cheeto”. When I first came across this song on his Instagram page, obviously the name caught my attention and made me chuckle a bit, but then I listened to the song and realized this was absolutely no laughing matter. There are momentous, critical synths combined with deep bass chords in the beat that add some hostility to the base of this …
