On God – [Mulatto]

At the top of last year, Atlanta’s own Mulatto released the music video for her smash hit record “B*tch From Da Souf“, it was a release that made the music community stop right in their tracks + pay the utmost attention to what she was doing, she had everyone wondering what she had coming next. It’s a tough task for an artist to follow up on a timeless record, in the past, we have seen many unable to do so. For Mulatto though, she made it look easy, as she followed up in 2020 by releasing one of the best projects of the year in Queen of Da Souf a few weeks back right around the time she graced the cover of the 2020 XXL Freshmen list! Today though, Mulatto is about to take her career to new heights, as she just released a sensational new music video for “On God”, which is directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s own Cole Bennett. This collaboration was first teased on social media a few weeks ago when some pictures of them on set were posted, and it left many fans with tons of excitement for what was to come, but I am sure that …

Lemonade – [Souf Souf] ft. [Lil O]

Souf Souf is a Seattle-based group that I’ve only recently come in contact with, but I was thoroughly impressed by their sound. While I haven’t listened to too much of their music, they seem to have this infectiously fun quality within both of their voices, and considering it’s a duo, both of the artists bring some greatly appreciated differentiation and originality to the table. Their sub-genre of music has been described in the past as Island trap, and although the combination might sound slightly obscure, it comes together in an impressive fashion and it’s definitely going to turn some heads moving forward. Lemonade has been a hot topic as of recently, and obviously we’re always interested to see what the latest drink-related trend is here at LL, so when I found out that this dynamic duo dropped a song with “Lemonade” as the title, I had to see what kind of rendition they brought to life. Some lighthearted, bubbly synths combine with sharp percussion and overly bouncy drums in the perfect manner, creating a foundation that the two artists take and absolutely destroy. Shotta Pistol takes the hook where he uses this time to provide even more vitality to the …

Audi – [RonSoCold]

RonSoCold is and has been one of the best rising artists out of the thriving Charlotte music community for a minute now, and today he is finding himself back on our website with the release of his new music video for “Audi”. This record is off of RonSoCold’s latest self-titled project that featured just over a dozen hard-knocking tracks, and this song was definitely a standout in my opinion, so I was glad to see it get the proper music video that it deserved. Ron is a special talent that I am rooting for, I am excited to see what he does from here. Check out this brand new music video below and make sure to keep checking our site in the coming weeks because I am planning on interviewing RonSoCold soon! Banana – [28AV] ft. [Lil Mosey] & [Souf Souf]

Prior to a few days ago, I was completely unaware of 28AV, but I’m glad I was tipped off and introduced to his music. What caught my attention, in all honesty, was the fact that he got Lil Mosey on a track as well as an accompanying music video. It definitely helps that they’re both from Seattle, so they have that connection, but it’s definitely a noteworthy relationship to have regardless. Clearly, Mosey has created a reputation for being an absolute hitmaker, so their latest track “Banana”, which also features a local Seattle duo known as Souf Souf, was a must-listen for me. On this hit, the beat begins with appealing, meaningful strings being plucked before soon being met by some crisp, consistent percussion and booming drums that truly pave the way for a summer anthem. Mosey takes the leadoff spot, which is probably a smart move considering he’ll draw people in right off the bat and make sure this song gets started off on a high note, even though I think any of the talents on this song would have done just as well. His bubbly delivery is steady and catchy as his voice takes us up and down …

He Say She Say – [Mulatto]

Mulatto has become one of the best young artists in the game over the past couple years or so, in large part thanks to her smash hit “B*tch From Da Souf”, but she has been following up with great content ever since, & today she is on our site with her new music video for “He Say She Say”. Mulatto has a staggering ability to deliver catchy bars one after another for the entire duration of every song that she releases, she never wastes a bar, and you can see that here on this new joint. Mulatto has a bright future in front of her, I think she has a great chance to make the XXL list this year, but she’s going to have great success either way. Check out this brand new visual below!

24 Hours – [Rahli] ft. [Z Money]

There’s something innately honorable about artists who take creative risks, well aware of the consequences that may come as a result of misunderstanding. Accordingly, the idea of being “ahead of one’s time,” per se, is a scary one, but if communicated in the right way, it can also be deeply rewarding, offering something new to the over-saturated world of music in which we live. One artist who perfectly embodies such is St. Louis native Rahli, back on our pages today with his latest release, “24 Hours” featuring Z Money. Employing the same unruly deliveries that caught my attention in Rahli’s last release — “In and Out” — “24 Hours” proves that the budding talent is unafraid of facing those who don’t understand the creative ambition of his style. Malleable as can be, Rahli’s deliveries point toward the ever-developing evolution of hip-hop vocals, and when placed atop such to-the-point, hard-hitting production, they’re able to find their full range of motion, free and unapologetic as can be. Rahli isn’t the only star behind “24 Hours,” though. In addition, fans get to here a well-executed feature verse from Z Money, as the budding talent switches out the insane deliveries for a concise, quotable …

We Rich! – [Ronsocold]

A couple of days ago Lyrical Lemonade favorite Ronsocold unleashed a brand new record titled “We Rich” and it’s been performing very well, but what else can you expect from the Charlotte native at this point though? Ron has never let us down when it comes to creating ear pleasing bangers and he wasn’t about to start now, instead he teamed up with super producer Richie Souf & they created one of his best offerings yet! One thing that I love about Ronsocold aside from the music is that he is just a real dude, he is a extremely kind individual & when artists have those traits I root for them that much harder. Take a couple minutes of your time to listen to this new song below and if you enjoy it then follow Ron on IG here!

Soufflé – [Audrey]

Beginning her musical career touring across the United States singing the national anthem at sporting arenas, Audrey is destined for greatness. Her single, “Soufflé,” produced by Roc Nation signee, Anwar Sawyer, displays her tremendous versatility and ability to create high-quality music across multiple genres. The woozy production combined with the singer’s incredible vocal range and eccentric delivery has made the song one of my personal favorites since the day it came out. Throughout the year Audrey has released several notable singles. The one that really caught my attention was, “Honeypot” produced by Massachusetts’ newcomer Fishman! Anticipate nothing but superstardom for the young singer. Words by Barry R

Gong Xi Fa Cai – [Higher Brothers]

This week marked the start of the Year of the Pig. To celebrate the Chinese New Year, it felt fitting to bring you some international hip-hop courtesy of the Chinese group, Higher Brothers. On their latest effort, “Gong Ci Fa Cai” the four-man collective takes inspiration from Atlanta, grabbing the ATL based producer Richie Souf who cooks up a string-centered trap beat. MaSiWei, DZKnow, Psy.P, Melo take turns flexing atop the beat with varied yet equally energetic flows. Unless you speak you speak Chinese, you probably won’t be able to understand everything but it doesn’t stop you from feeling the energy; it’s actually kind of a cool experience because it allows you to focus strictly on the flows and mood. Often, we get caught up in our own bubbles and regions, so it’s great to take a step outside and look at hip-hop from around the world. It’s crazy to see how in such a short time, hip-hop has become a global phenomenon and connects with people of all rages, ages, and nationalities. The 88Rising-presented group is to drop their star-studded Five Stars album on February 22, which will feature, ScHoolboy Q, Rich Brian, J.I.D., Soulja Boy, Denzel Curry, and more! Watch …

Tay Money x Souffle Tay – [Tay Money]

Texas artist Tay Money has been making some huge moves in the past year as she is continuing to make a name for herself, and today she is back with the premiere of her brand new music for “Tay Money x Souffle Tay”. Tay Money is still very early on in her career but is already one of the best artists coming out of her state but it’s only a matter of time before she’s one of the hottest artists in the world, I see her creating Billboard hits in the near future. Watch this brand new music video below and if you enjoy it be sure to share it with a friend! Shot by DanceDailey
