All Alone – [THEMXXNLIGHT]

Bay area natives, Akash and Krish better known collectively as THEMXXNLIGHT deliver their new video for “All Alone.” You may be familiar with THEMXXNLIGHT for their collaborative work with Wiz Khalifa on his album, Rolling Papers 2, released back in July of 2018. Their cinematic new visual has the twins drawing on a nocturnal force, blurring the lines between the dream state and reality. The sultry bass-line of the record released back in September is fully reflected in the new ominously sexy video that follows the brothers chasing after an elusive vixen through an empty mansion secluded in the hills. The duo are off to a great start with the first visual from their upcoming highly anticipated debut, XX EP. Not only did we decide to bless our overly dedicated fan base with a brand new layout on our new website today, we also just released Wiz Khalifa’s brand new music video for “Fr Fr” featuring Lil Skies! Wiz Khalifa and Lil Skies have grown to be solid friends over their tour that they have been on for the summer and their record “Fr Fr” off of Wiz’s amazing new album “Rolling Papers 2” has grown to be a fan favorite, so it’s only right that they connected with Lyrical Lemonade’s own Cole Bennett to shoot the video! When you here the names Wiz Khalifa, Lil Skies and Cole Bennett in the same sentence you know something big is about to happen, so don’t waste anymore time and check out this new visual below!

Still riding the success of the Rolling Papers 2 album and not-to-mention the embarkment on his Dazed & Blazed tour that wraps up this month, Wiz Khalifa is back celebrating his favorite plant in the TM88-produced, Where Iz Da Bud. Beginning with an audio clip of someone preaching on weed rappers, the hitting production from 88 gets right into the action as Wiz came through with vicious energy & lyrics that resonate the old school Wiz from the Blacc Hollywood or, to even go that far, the Kush & Orange Juice days. From taking your girl to smoking KK in places you simply can’t eat, the 3-minute shootout of bars will have you rolling up in no time and along with that, getting you set for the weekend ahead. Hopeless Romantic – [Wiz Khalifa] Ft. [Swae Lee]

Following the Cole Bennett-directed visuals for Real Rich and movie-like cinematic for the album track, Wiz Khalifa is back with another cut from Rolling Papers 2 with Swae Lee for Hopeless Romantic. The mellowed out track produced by Young Chop was a standout on the album that was brought to life courtesy of TK McKamy which see’s the duo in what looks like a fantasy of gigantic, clothless women. What may seem like an odd concept at first actually comes to fit the dreamy record with their newfound chemistry that can only be found in tracks such as Burn Slow from 2015 produced by Mike WiLL Made It. Universal Studios – [Wiz Khalifa] prod. [The Alchemist]

Wiz Khalifa’s grind is showing no symptoms of slowing down. A brief two weeks after the release of his much anticipated Rolling Papers 2 project, Wiz is already back with a fresh stoner cut. With production by The Alchemist, Universal Studios is a jazzy, easy going track. The Alchemist cooked up a Taylor made beat for Wiz that showcases his iconic stoner flow. If you’re a fan of “Old Wiz” this track is right up your alley. Reminisce on the old days with the breezy Universal Studios below. And if you’re feeling it, make sure to pick up a limited vinyl pressing of the track from The Alchemist’s BandCamp page here. Rolling Papers 2 – [Wiz Khalifa]

For longtime fans of Wiz Khalifa, the sequel to his 2011 Rolling Papers album has been a long time coming and now, it is officially in our grasp. Entitled Rolling Papers 2, the 25-track offering is a testament to the classic Wiz-sound that was pioneered way back when featuring a collection of new-school/old-school artists including Snoop Dogg, Curren$y, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jimmy Wopo, Lil Skies, Swae Lee & THEMXXNLIGHT to name a few, with production from a few familiar faces in E.Dan, Sledgren, TM88 & Young Chop. From start to finish, RP2 is absolutely flooded with hit-songs and much like the previous project that featured tracks like On My Level, Black & Yellow, and No Sleep, it’s evident that the Pittsburgh rap star is more-than-ready to takeover playlists and radio stations alike for a while. Making their first appearances on our site with Start It Right, the twin R&B collective known as THEMXXNLIGHT are a pair of artists you definitely need to keep on your radar. Based in Saratoga, California, the aspiring musical talents are the first of their kind as they are the first-ever South Asian/ American artists to graduate from one of the top-tier engineering schools in the world, to then be an up-and-coming group that is slowly but surely rising to the top. With production from Sledgren and Jacobi, the duo blessed the relaxed instrumental with their laid-back autotune vocals that will you suck you in right away after the first listen. Not only do these guys have their forthcoming MOOD album set for release in the coming days, they were also a key component in Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers 2 project that, as you may already know, is about to be historic.
