Can’t Die – [Rich Amiri]

Although there are literally so many artists that I am beyond thrilled to know about as they continue to rise to fame, there are very few that captivate me enough to drop everything and listen to as much of their music as I can so I can catch up on lost time. The last emcee that caused me to do this was probably Yeat because even though I wasn’t instantly all in on his music when my brother would randomly play me tracks here and there, he grew on me like wildfire and there were legitimately weeks and almost month-long stints where I would strictly listen to his music. Even though this was probably only about a year or so ago, I recently found out about an artist who captured my attention and enthusiasm much like Yeat did at first, and this emcee goes by a name I’m sure you’re already familiar with: Rich Amiri. I think it makes sense that Amiri caught my eye and I became obsessed because he often does utilize a sound that can be comparable to Yeat, but that comes with the fact that many of the producers he works with also work with the …

New Music Friday With $NOT, BabyK Osama, Rich Amiri, and Yella Beezy!

Friday is always the best day of the week with new releases from some of our favorite artists! First up we have 19-year-old BabyK Osama with his latest single “Ticket” on all streaming platforms. The Simple Stupid / Geffen Records signee has been making some noise ever since he was released from prison last spring. In a short span of time, the Jacksonville rapper has released five projects and hasn’t shown any signs of letting up anytime soon. In the visuals for his latest single, BabyK Osama was surrounded by exotic cars as he raps over a feverish instrumental. His signature Jacksonville flow mixed with his blazing wordplay created a head-spinning single. I look forward to watching his career advance this year! Gold-selling recording artist Yella Beezy delivered his latest mixtape titled Bad Azz Yella Boy. Yella rose to fame in 2017 after releasing his mixtape Lite Work, Volume which included his hit record “That’s On Me” which debuted at 37 on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts and earned 200M+ video views. His career has been a journey, but his latest mixtape is a testimony of all the work Yella has been putting in and finally enjoying the seeds of his …

ruthless / trouble – [Rich Amiri]

It always amazes me when I take the time to read bios and interviews with artists that I don’t know very much about because there never fails to be a handful of information that surprises or impresses me. Whether it’s something about their upbringing, their career, co-signs, connections, or even milestones that they’ve achieved, there is usually at least one or two things that I find interesting. Rich Amiri is someone I have heard of many times and have listened to every now and then, but I never took too much time to learn more about him, so when I saw he released a two-pack of records called “ruthless” and “trouble”, I wanted to give him a once-over so I could understand his journey a little more. I was just blown away to find out that he only started taking music seriously not very long ago, and even after starting to upload songs that were recorded in his bedroom to SoundCloud in 2020, it’s truly impressive to see the blossoming career he has built through great music, an individualistic sound, and a compelling personality, with a few viral moments to help along the way. In his newly released track “ruthless”, …

Getting to Know Boston Underdog Rich Amiri

Earlier this month, I found out that Rich Amiri was shooting a video in NYC. I instantly connected with his team to set up an interview with the underground artist. Rich started to come on my radar this year, after hearing a few tracks from him on Soundcloud. His smooth vocals mixed with autotune caught me by surprise when I first listened to his music. To find out he was only 18 years old was the cherry on top because he is such a well-rounded artist already. On March 4, Rich released his latest project “Chase”. My absolute favorite song is “Never Fail.” For someone who has only been rapping for two years, Rich continues to deliver nothing but perfection track after track. I fell in love with the beat produced by John Luther and Malikaix8. The vocal range Rich was able to reach was quite impressive. This song received 1.4 million plays on Soundcloud and almost 20k views on Youtube. I’m very excited to be able to share Rich Amiri with Lyrical Lemonade. If you haven’t gotten familiar with him yet, now is your chance to get to know one of the hottest rappers out of Boston. Check out …

Never Fail – [Rich Amiri]

I’ve often mentioned how I feel like Boston is such an underrated music town in terms of hip-hop, but the more artists that are arising from the smoke of the popular Massachusetts means the more people have no choice but to pay attention. While it might be known more as a sports city than a music hub, artists like Rich Amiri are definitely putting on for Boston, and it gets me super excited for the future of the city’s local scene. Although I’m new to Rich’s catalog of music, I was put onto his song “Never Fail” which dropped not too long ago, and as soon as he sang his first note, I knew I was going to be a fan. Produced by John Luther and Malikaix8, they utilize some dreamy, serene synths that just glide before insanely addicting percussion hit the scene and take things up a notch. As Rich sings, his vocals are slightly under annunciated and his voice is a lower octave than most other artists that seem to create a similar sound, but this definitely adds to his individuality. His voice is just so buttery and relaxing, and while there are definitely some passionate points throughout …
