Velvet Love – [Rachel Faith]

It’s been a minute since Chicago native Rachel Faith has appeared on our pages, but she is back today with her creative new music video for “‘Velvet Love”. Rachel has never been shy to try new things snd push boundaries with her music, oftentimes in the past I was thoroughly impressed with her creativity and ability to think outside of the box, and I had a similar thought process with this release. First off, the sound that Rachel made on this one was extraordinary, to say the least, it’s super unique but it’s impressive in my opinion. What made this release really special though was the way that she shot the video, which was on a flip phone of all things! She somehow was able to create a one of a kind music video using just a flip phone, furthermore proving how innovative she is. Phantom – [Rachel Faith]

Chicago is an undeniable hub of musical talent, and one of the newer artists coming up in our music community is Rachel Faith, who is back with a brand new jam titled “Phantom”. The first thing that stuck out to me after running through this track a few times was that it seems as if Rachel has already improved a ton since her last effort, you can probably tell from the title that this was going to be a menacing and darker sounding cut, and that’s exactly what we got. Another thing that caught my ear was the layers upon layers of this great instrumental, I believe Rachel produced this herself because she does most of her own production, so shout out to hear for really showing she can do it all here. Do yourself a solid and press play below. Produced by Elias

While Chicago has been known as a reputable city in hip-hop for numerous years now, this revered position has not arrived without the constant innovation and hard work of the artists that so faithfully represent the prowess of their home city. It is these artists that we have to credit for this respected reputation, and we here at Lyrical Lemonade try to honor this in every way possible by constantly bringing new Chicago acts into our headlines here on our website. That said, 2018 has been yet another fantastic year for Chicago music, so we went ahead and compiled a list of our “Top 50 Chicago Projects” of the year. This now marks the third year that we have been putting out this list, and we believe that it’s safe to say this year’s list might just be the most solid one from top to bottom that we’ve seen yet. Thank you to our terrific writing staff for all of the hard work they have put in this year, I will be linking their socials below so be sure to contact them about getting featured on the website in the future. Codependency EP – [Rachel Faith]

Chicago artist Rachel Faith first made her debut on our platform a couple months back when she release her single “DFM”, and this afternoon she is back with her brand new EP titled “Codependency”. My initial thoughts when I was running through this project were mainly about how Rachel has the seemingly effortless ability to create soothing melodies at the drop of a dime, as well as her ability to compliment the often times massive production thats surrounding her. I really enjoyed all three of the tracks that were provided on this one, but my favorite cut on it by far was the outro “Tired” due to the honestly & at times vulnerability of the lyrics mixed with the ear pleasing instrumental. Enough about my thoughts though, stream this brand new tape below and if you like it be sure to keep up with Rachel by giving her a follow on Twitter here!

DFM – [Rachel Faith]

An artist that goes by Rachel Faith is making her Lyrical Lemonade debut this afternoon with her brand new offering titled “DFM”. This is her first release in over a year, but if you dove into this one without knowing that information you wouldn’t be able to tell in the least bit. One of the first things I noticed about this new record is the addictive instrumental that was provided by the goat Elias Abid, before Rachel complimented the beat with some extremely soothing vocals, leaving us with a memorable hook as well as a very impressive verse. Take a few minutes of your time below to check out this one, and if you like it be sure to give Rachel a follow here!
