Kill Em With Silence – [Ohana Bam]

Ohana Bam is a creative from Chicago who has been making some major moves over the past few years, and tonight I am happy to bring our audience his brand new music video for “Kill Em With Silence”. Ohana Bam has many skills, he always makes phenomenal music and he can straight up rap with the best of them, but one thing that we don’t speak on enough when it comes to Bam is that he never fails to deliver top tier music videos each and every time. Of course, he didn’t decide to stop now, as here he came through with an intriguing music video that’s filled with exotic colors, dancers, black lights + crazy visual effects. Go ahead and watch this brand new music video below, and in case you missed it, check out our piece about Homewood Flossmoor High School that included Ohana Bam here!

The Talents To Come Out Of Homewood Flossmoor High School

Over the past five years of covering the Chicago music scene, interviewing artists, and making relationships with these creatives, I have noticed something that I believe is super intriguing: there have been so many talented individuals who went to Homewood Flossmoor High School at (or around) the same time. It’s not too often that you see this many extraordinary creatives come out of the same place at once — at least I have never heard of something like this before — but even more so, I think it’s a rarity for to have this type of talent come out of the same school especially in the same field. I believe that a big part of this should be credited to the opportunities that Homewood Flossmoor provides to their students, in all avenues, but especially in the music field. The school has engaged students in music industry classes, Jazz orchestra courses, holding rap contests (and giving out prizes to the winners), shooting music videos for their senior students at times, giving them their own radio show to practice freestyling + DJ’ing, and they even take their bands on extraordinary trips to places like Japan. It’s crazy to think about what can …

Don’t Go Tell My Mama – [Ohana Bam]

I apologize because I am a few weeks late on this, but not too long ago Chicago native Ohana Bam released a creative new music video for “Don’t Go Tell My Mama”. Ohana Bam has been having a great year in 2019 between his huge commercial + video game placements and all of the fire he has released such as “Sold Separate”, but this record and music video here can’t be overlooked. He connected with music video director Sofla who helped him bring this bouncy + addicting song to life, and if you ask me it’s clear that they did a great job. Ohana Bam is continuing to improve more and more with each release, so if you haven’t got in tune with him just yet, now is the perfect time!

Make Way For The King – [Ohana Bam]

When it comes to creating anthems that can motivate you to run through a brick wall, not many artists can do it better than Chicago native Ohana Bam, who is back tonight with his latest offering titled “Make Way For The King”. Ohana Bam never fails to always find the most top notch instrumentals to rhyme over and this time around he connected with Campfire with who the mastermind producer behind this beat, and Bam simply did what he does best, and that’s give a stellar performance over the track with ferocious lyrics that compliment the overall theme of the song perfectly. Rumor has it that Ohana Bam is going to be releasing a new visual on Friday so keep an eye out for that, but for now stream his brand new release below!

Quarter Century Crisis – [Charles Lauste] x [Femdot] x [Ohana Bam]

Today I am very happy to be bringing you a brand new release titled “Quarter Century Crisis” by Charles Lauste and his close homies Femdot & Ohana Bam, trust me when I say that this one is a complete BANGER! First off, Charles Lauste created yet another monumental instrumental which he has proven time and time again that he is capable of, and do I even need to begin to explain what Femdot & Ohana Bam can do with a beat like this? Well, to put it in the simplest terms, it stood no chance against these two vicious spitters. You should expect this though when three of Chicago’s finest emcees link up, be expecting more music from these three soon, but for now watch this new visual below!

Why Ya – [Charles Lauste]

Charles Lauste is a dope producer and DJ out of Chicago who has been making some noise with his GRWYF homies Femdot, Ohana Bam & 5thOfHen, who are all making their way back on our website today with their brand new music video for “Why Ya”. There have been a few crews in Chicago that have been showing out and accomplishing some great achievements, most notably the amazing Pivot Gang project from earlier this year, but the Get Rich With Your Friends movement is one that I have a very good feeling about for the years to come. They have all been building up their own brands and have been perfecting their crafts in their own right, it’s so dope to see every time that they come back together to collab it gets better & better, and this new joint might be their best yet! Take a few minutes out of your Tuesday to watch this brand new music video, and if you like what you see/hear then follow the guys on Twitter below! Bam • Chi • Fem • Hen produced by 5thOfHen

Sold Separate – [Ohana Bam]

Just when I was thinking there couldn’t be anymore new hot music from Chicago creatives (for the day), here comes Ohana Bam who recently released a fire new record called “Sold Separate”. Ohana Bam is a different type of artist man, he knows something that common emcees don’t know about making hit records, records that have replay value and last. Probably goos reasons why his tracks have found their way on big time movie sound tracks, video games & even the WWE Royal Rumble, and I have a good feeling this new joint is on that path to greatness as well. Ohana Bam has been sharping up his skills this whole time though, and it’s showing in his new music, I am very excited to see where he takes it from here. Stream his brand new song below and give him a follow on Twitter here!

Holy Sun – [Sunny Woodz] & [YF Beats]

Chicago’s own Sunny Woodz & YF Beats just blessed us with a brand new project titled “Holy Sun”, and it’s not anything you want to sleep on. This project has a total of sixteen tracks and in Sunny’s own words, he considers it “something you and your friends should smoke to”. It’s a pretty solid tape from front to back if you ask me, I just ran it back twice in the office and enjoyed each of the songs provided, my favorite probably being “Big Fly” featuring Ohana Bam. Sunny has always been known to me as someone who puts on artists & provides great collabs, and the artists that he featured on this tape include UG Vavy, Ohana Bam, Solo Tha Dweeb, Xayy, Slitta, Ashlee Bankz, KD Young Cocky, Chimeka, Illi, D. Best, Scotty Music, BoDi Deeder, The Messiah, Clark Airlines, Fendi Frost, Bhype, Gzus, Murph Watkins and Juan Don! You may not be familiar with all of these artists just yet, but I bet in the next few years some of them will make some real noise, it’s a trend I have noticed about Sunny & his prior work. A Conversation with HappyBirthdayCalvin • One Of Chicago’s Brightest Young Acts

HappyBirthdayCalvin is a kid out of Chicago who has been making some major noise in the music community, but especially here in the city, so of course I had to bring him through the office for a brand new interview for the site! HappyBirthdayCalvin will end up being one of the leaders in the Chicago music scene within the next few years, and I know that’s a bold statement for someone who just graduated high school, but trust me when I say he is a good person to the core but even more importantly he is musically inclined. Calvin’s record “No Friends” has been going crazy for a minute now, playing on radios all over the country, and not to mention that he just got Chicago legend G-Herbo on the remix of the track. Learn a thing or two about Calvin by reading this brand new interview below and don’t forget to stream his record below while you read, & also keep an eye out for his upcoming music releases! Lyrical Lemonade Presents: The Johari Noelle Q&A

Johari Noelle is one of the newer Chicago creatives that I have got in tune with in 2019, and when I heard that she was gearing up to release her new project Things You Can’t Say Out Loud, I figured why not bring her by the Lyrical Lemonade office for a brand interview? You can expect her to speak about plenty of interesting subjects such as the previously mentioned project, all of the talent that has come out of her high school HF, her strong relationship with her family, how Chicago has influenced her and her headlining show that will be taking place this week in Chicago at The Promontory. Learn a thing or two about Johari by reading this brand new interview below, and you can purchase tickets to see Johari live June 5th here.     Elliot: Before we dive into the questions, give our readers who may not be familiar with you a brief introduction of yourself?
