Dreams – [Nuworld Kayo]

A couple of days back Chicago emcee Nuworld Kayo released a new record titled “Dreams’, which is his first release in nearly a year! I was recently wondering when I was going to hear some new music from the LL regular so I was more than excited when I saw this release, and just as I expected Nuworld Kayo provided an ear pleasing tune. One thing I always rave about Kayo is his ability to go bar after bar and not waste even one of them, he’s constantly dropping little gems or references in his lyrics that take more than one listen to catch them all. The hook that he cooked up for this joint is easily one of his best, I have known Nuworld Kayo to be more of a rapper than a singer but man he flexed his precise vocals on this new joint. Go ahead and stream this new track via Soundcloud and if you like it be sure to share it with a friend.

NY – [Nuworld Kayo]

Lyrical Lemonade favorite Nuworld Kayo is finding himself back on our platform tonight with his first release of 2018 simply titled “NY”. You probably think you have a good idea of what this one is all about from just glancing at the title, so did I, but we were all wrong. Kayo doesn’t even mention the empire state once in this new track, but he did come through with yet another amazing offering, one of my favorites from him in quite some time. That’s not to take away from his prior offerings of course, but there was just something about this one that had it on repeat in my headphones for damn near thirty minutes. The outstanding production provided by THRD on this one is enough to keep you entertained for the entire duration of the track, but the impressive bars from Kayo are something like the icing on the cake, as they both created a great tune. Check out this brand new joint below!

Top 50 Chicago Projects of 2017

If you recall we released our “Top 50 Chicago Projects of 2016” list on the 31st last year, so it we had to bring it back this year due to the insane amount of talent that is coming out of Chicago. Each & every one of the artists included created something special this year for the world, but especially for the city, so it’s only right that we acknowledge their efforts. Please remember that this is in our opinion, & our opinions really don’t mean shit. Thank you to our terrific writing staff for all of the hard work they have put in this year, I will be linking their socials below so be sure to contact them about getting featured on the website in the future. Jacob Lusted • Lane Cowherd • Seamus Fay • Mike Del Ro • Jake Millan  • Miguel Alfaro This year has been a year of massive growth for Lyrical Lemonade as a whole: from getting our own HQ, to selling out shows in other cities, being featured in the Chicago Reader, working with some of our idols, growing our overall presence and much more. 1 Train – [IsaiahG] Ft. [Nuworld Kayo]

Oh man oh man, Chicago’s own IsaiahG just blessed us with a fantastic new record titled “1 Train” featuring Nuworld Kayo, and it’s one of his best songs yet. Trust me, I’m already aware of all of the great music that Zay has blessed us with up to this point, but there’s just something about the way him & Kayo attacked this hard knocking production that is just addicting. If you know anything about Isaiah, then you already know that his right hand man & AAP affiliate Aaron Deux provided the banging beat, and the rest is history. Isaiah started off this joint with one of his best verses to date, before Nuworld Kayo smoothly jumped in around the half way point & made his presence felt right away with his melodic approach. Don’t sleep on these two, as they are two of the most promising artists coming out of the city. Peep the brand new single below & be sure to be on the look out for Isaiah’s KnowSpace EP coming soon!

The Freako Interview – [93′ Til]

Chicago rapper, Freako, has been putting work into his craft for a while now, building up a unique sound especially with his most recent project, Oasis. He has pieced together an elaborate soundscape for the listener to indulge in, drawing lines between everyday reality and living completely in your head. Freako frequently reflects on using vices as a form of escapism from the world and overall there is a nice range of energies from track to track, showcasing the versatility the rapper possesses. I was able to chat with him about his musical background, some of his frequent collaborators, the creative process for Oasis, and big plans he has for the future. For Heaven’s Sake – [NuWorld Kayo]

Tonight I am extremely happy to bring you NuWorld Kayo’s brand new music video for his record titled “For Heaven’s Sake”. This track was arguably my favorite record off of his latest project Southside Blue Hearts, there’s just something about the ear grabbing production mixed with his clever flows and witty bars. He connected with his homie D.Roe visuals to help bring this one to life, and together they did just that, as you will soon see that they pieced together a truly entertaining video. NuWorld Kayo is one of my favorite young artists coming out of Chicago, don’t sleep on this man, get in tune with him below! Read our Q&A with Kayo here!

Southside Blue Hearts – [Nuworld Kayo]

Chicago’s own Nuworld Kayo is back on our platform tonight with his brand new project titled “Southside Blue Hearts.” This one is a total of ten tracks in length, and if there’s one thing i can take away from my first listen, I was entertained the entire way through. Most of the time when rappers drop projects, there might be a song or two that you skip, or consider them just fillers. However Kayo had my upmost attention for every single second, there’s truly not a dull moment on the whole tape. Don’t take my word for it though, give it a spin below!
