Believe It – [Doneze]

Life has not always been easy for up and coming African-Canadian rapper Doneze. The 20-year old artist moved from Nigeria to Calgary, Canada in hopes of escaping the brutal violence going on in his home country. Shortly after arriving, Doneze found inspiration in his surroundings and began making music. After receiving nods of approval from Migos, 21 Savage, and Lil Yachty for his 2017 single, ‘Dab Fashion,’ Doneze is back with new music. Doneze is in his bag with his newest single, ‘Believe It.’ His melodic efforts combined with the romantic and emotional piano chords produced by Deemarc, will have any listener in their bag as well. Additionally, lyrics such as, ‘I tried to tell them that I was gon’ make it out, they told me I was dreamin, man they love to doubt,’ and ‘It was just yesterday I was starvin,’ gives listeners a real insight of what it means to come from the dirt. With a bright future ahead, Doneze is just getting started. Words by Barry R

Roy Woods Behind The Scenes Freestyle

It’s hard to know as outsiders looking in on what goes on behind the scenes on tour. Sure, we have ideas that we derive now and then from social media posts or paparazzi, but when we get a true look at behind the scenes footage from a camera that follows around an artist for an entire day, we’re able to come to realization of what their days actually consist of. In this eight minute clip, you see OVO member and Toronto native Roy Woods in a glimpse of what life is like on tour, at least for him, as he waits for his show later that night in Los Angeles with Drake and The Migos. Roy’s exceptional creativity and dreamlike vocals provide for an outstanding freestyle about 40 seconds into the clip that lasts for nearly a minute – and will make you only want to hear more. The video then goes on to show Roy drinking golden Hennessy, rolling backwoods, and then a glimpse of his late-night studio work with MadeinTYO. It’s always interesting to see an artist’s creative processes in the studio and how they different from person to person, and the studio scene Roy creates is a dark …

Hot Summer – [DJ Durel] x [Migos]

Setting off on the co-headlining ‘Aubrey & Three Migos’ tour with Drake last month, the Atlanta super trio is back with DJ Durel to reenergize the Summer vibes in the latest cut for, Hot Summer. Directed by Gabriel Hart, the vibrant visuals look to be something out of a 90’s TV show with the likes of Quavo, Offset & Takeoff joining Durel for a street party with boomboxes, rollerskates and just about all the fluorescent clothing you could probably handle in one sitting. While you may be familiar with the three members who make up the Migos, DJ Durel has played a large part in the production for some of the groups biggest hits including Narcos, Motorsport & Dab of Ranch to name a few. With that said, you’d best check out the new video for Hot Summer below and stay tuned for the next cook up from Migos and DJ Durel! Directed by Gabriel Hart

Lamb Talk – [Quavo]

Chances are you’ve never seen this many Lambo’s in one place until you’ve taken in Quavo’s newest cut for, Lamb Talk. Included in the trio of singles from the Migos frontman last week, the sportscar-inspired track was brought to the big screen with Keemotions & Quavo behind the lens of arguably the most expensive video to date, but mostly due to the choice of cars. With cameos from QC mates Offset & Lil Baby as well, the entire visual revolves around the Italian sports car with Quavo unleashing his firesome verses while cruising the streets in just about every color of Lamb you could possibly imagine. It’s only a matter of time until the next cut for one of Quavo’s new tracks so until then, let the visual for Lamb Talk get you in your feelings of expensive whips you can’t afford.
