RIP-[Mariah the Scientist]

Today has already been an unbelievable day for music and it just got better with the brand new drop from rising phenomenon, Mariah the Scientist. I got put onto Mariah after listening to her debut project entitled, “MASTER”. The 10 songs that dropped back in August were the perfect introduction to this up and comer and this new song that surfaced today is just adding onto her already impressive discography. “RIP” is one of the most powerfully stunning songs I’ve heard recently. The brand new offering by Mariah doesn’t drop off at anytime, but instead gets better throughout the whole entire 2 minutes and 49 seconds. The production is top tier which makes a lot of room for the singer to blow our minds with her dynamic vocal stylings. Every base is covered in this track and all that’s left for you to do is listen. Mariah the Scientist has a lot of our hearts. Her music and persona are just infectious which causes listeners to get hooked to anything she releases. I’ve attached the Spotify link down below for “RIP”. Make sure you check it out and let us know what you think!

Watch Tory Lanez new interview with Joe Budden

Tory Lanez is fresh off of the release of his well-received new Chixtape 5 project, and just before the release he sat down with Joe Budden on his amazing Pull Up platform, and we just got blessed with the final product! These two chopped it up like old friends speaking on several subjects such as his amazing new project Chixtape 5, his relationship with Drake, being compared to Bryson Tiller, his situation with his record label, certain artists inflating their stream counts, social media, having a super strong fan base, his mixtapes vs his albums, the process of clearing samples, working with the GOAT T-Pain, Ashanti, the king of R&B, the importance of having good management, wanting to work more with Kelly Rowland, his old beefs, Travis Scott, working with Mariah The Scientist, how he built his team and so much more. This was a great conversation and I highly suggest that you check it out for yourself below!

MASTER – [Mariah The Scientist]

Under the tutelage of hit-maker Tory Lanez, 21-year-old Mariah The Scientist has released her new EP ’MASTER’. The Atlanta-based artist’s sound can’t exactly be pinned down or directly compared, a quality which proves to be a strength on ‘MASTER’ as the 10-track project meshes synth pop, soul, and other influences seamlessly. Written while on tour with Lanez, Mariah draws inspiration from bad relationships in her past and reclaims her own power in her songwriting. This vengeance comes through on tracks like “Reminders” as her heartstruck vocals swirl over a bed of heavy synths and retro electronic drums. The melodies heard throughout the EP sound more RnB, and it’s this refusal to conform to any one sonic space that makes it that much more intriguing. Mariah’s vocals remain consistently dreamy regardless of what context they’re being put into, whether they’re echoing on the acoustic ballad “Disclosure” or distorted on the mysterious interlude “Hotel”.  By the time Mariah reaches the end of the EP, she’s made a case for herself as an elusive new voice–one who sounds like no one but herself.
