Woah Vicky – [Dirty Blonde]

This morning we have an artist that goes by the moniker of Dirty Blonde who is making his Lyrical Lemonade debut with his brand new offering titled “Woah Vicky”. I first met the New York based artist at SXSW in Austin, Texas this past March where he played me some of his unreleased music and we have stayed in touch ever since, he recently stopped by our LL office in Chicago during Complexcon to play me some more music & I have been waiting for this record to drop ever since. Dirty Blonde is an extremely melodic artist who creates music to capture a vibe and share it with his growing fan base, his songs are very addicting, it’s one of those things that once you hear him once his lyrics are stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Don’t sleep on this kid, give him a chance by pressing play below!

Taylor Bennett Speaks on The American Reject, the Cover Art, TBE + more!

Taylor Bennett has been one of the biggest pieces in the puzzle that makes up Chicago’s music community. He has been rapping and creating music for damn near a decade and has become not only one of Chicago’s best rappers, but more importantly one of the brightest business minds that the city has to offer. The growth of his company Taylor Bennett Entertainment has been amazing to watch to say the least: he has built up a still small yet unbelievably talented roster with Bianca Shaw who has blossomed into one of the best talents that the city has to offer, as well as Zxxk who is one of the most talented producers & creatives in the game. When we look back ten years from now, these two will be far along in their careers under the guidance of Taylor & TBE. Next week Taylor is releasing his forthcoming album The American Reject, and when I saw him tease the cover I knew I had to bring him by the Lyrical Lemonade office to pick his brain about the project, the cover and so much more. As we gear up for the project that appears to be Taylor’s biggest and most …

Lyrical Lemonade Presents: The Abby Jasmine Q&A

Abby Jasmine is one of the most talented new upcoming artists in the game, I recently got the chance to meet her while speaking on a panel at SXSW a couple of weeks ago, and then when she was in Chicago the other day for a concert with T-Pain I thought why not bring her through our office for an interview for the website? One thing about Abby that stands out is her unbelievable charisma and her stage presence when performing, she appears like an experienced veteran although she is just only twenty years old, which is exactly why she is touring the country on with the OG T-Pain at this very moment. That crazy part is that I haven’t even mentioned her stellar vocal abilities and her crafty song making ability, and impressive catalog she has created up to this point. On top of all of this she has an amazing team backing her over at Cinematic, so the sky is truly the limit for this young superstar. I am extremely excited to see where she goes from here but I expect nothing but the best for her, so go ahead and get in tune with the New York native by learning …

Thank You FATHER – [Dane Caston]

Dane Caston is a creative that I got the chance to meet at this years SXSW, and this afternoon he is making his Lyrical Lemonade debut with his brand new EP titled “Thank You FATHER”. I had high expectations coming into this tape just simply based off of the energy that Dane Caston gives off as an individual, and sure enough the Atlanta based artist came through with an outstanding tape that you don’t want to sleep on. Along with this release Dane Caston left us with some words adding: “Thank You FATHER. is a project from my heart to yours! This musical project is intended to make you feel good, no matter what mood you’re in 🙂 If you’re feeling down it will most certainly lift you up and if you’re already up it will elevate you even higher… nonetheless it’s just an undeniable vibe.” Executive Produced by Dane Caston Musically Produced | Mixing & Mastering by Kenneth “Xclusive” Paryo

Watch Rico Nasty’s brand new interview with Nardwuar

At our Lyrical Lemonade show at SXSW this past week in Austin, Texas there was multiple great performances, but Rico Nasty’s set really blew me away. It was my first time seeing her live and even though I thoroughly enjoyed her music before I witnessed the set, it made me even more of a fan & it made me appreciate her art on another level. While she was out in Texas Rico Nasty connected with the greatest interviewer of all time, Nardwuar, and of course it was an awesome conversation. Bossed Up – [Quin NFN]

I first met Quin NFN last year at SXSW when we met Nardwuar, but I was already familiar with his music at the time, and he is making his way back on Lyrical Lemonade today with his brand new music video for “Bossed Up”. The growth that Quin has had since that point last March has been unreal to say the least, this kid is still putting up numbers on all of his material but especially the music videos, it’s safe to say that he is by far one of the best upcoming emcees out of Texas. Watch this brand new visual below and if you like it be sure to share it with a friend!
