Wasted Youth – [Landon Cube]

If you’re familiar with the few regulars we post about here on Lyrical Lemonade, Landon Cube shouldn’t be an unfamiliar name. His vocal range is impressive, and his genre-bending style of music keeps fans on their toes, never knowing exactly what to expect but having the utmost confidence that it’s going to be a hit. At first, admittedly, I thought he was just gaining notoriety because of his part in the Cufboys vlogs, but then when I actually took the time to listen in, I realized that his talents were truly something to behold, and I never looked back for even another second. While his dexterity is never something to forget, he decided to come back stronger than ever with a brand-new single entitled “Wasted Youth”, and the outcome is nothing short of spectacular if you ask me. Opening up with an instrumental produced by Tito beats and Hilton, we are eased into this record with touching, emotional acoustic guitar chords before upbeat, moving drums and percussion come into the picture, adding a nice tempo to the beat that just bounces along throughout the entire song. When Landon begins to croon, he remains pretty calm, cool, and collected, never getting …

Premiere: chamber johan + Phases (video)-[Johan Lenox]

When you use the phrase generational talent, I believe the name Johan Lenox needs to be in any conversation that you might be having. The well established and well known artist is truly one of the most talented individuals in the music industry right now, and it’s about time that we took time to celebrate all of the genius that he possesses. I’ve witness this man take a song from 0-100 just by adding simple string elements to it and it’s the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed ever. I’m so hype to be bringing this legend onto our page today and if you’re reading this, you should be too! For a majority of his life, Johan has been fixated on classical music. That is until he heard “My Dark Twisted Fantasy” for the first time at a house party while on Acid. It was at this moment when Johan’s interests and taste began to change although he’s managed to stick close to his classical roots. From then, the musician began dabbling with the possibility of crossing classical music with other genres. The Massachusetts native then was off to the races as he began the composer of Yeethoven in …

Gravestone (Remix) – [Tuxx] ft. [Landon Cube]

Not too long ago, Tuxx released his hit song “Gravestone” and as soon as I heard it, I truly understood exactly why everyone has been telling me this kid is going to be a star. It’s an unbelievable song all around from production to performance to the music video and everything in between, so I wasn’t sure how it could get any better. Insert Landon Cube on the remix, and that’s exactly how it can get better, even if it’s just by a hair. He just brings an even more hard rock vibe and aesthetic to the remix that complements Tuxx’s more punk-like sound naturally, and they recruited the homie Sam McGrath to shoot another movie for this new spin on the record, so I couldn’t help but share it with anyone and everyone that I come in contact with. As it opens up on Tuxx, the camera pans around to reveal a very heavily patterned room behind him with a checkerboard floor and floral walls that is dimly illuminated by a dying lamp in the back corner. While he sings, a clone of himself as well as Landon moves around frantically at a fast-forwarded speed which was an awesome …

REBIRTH – [Bernard Jabs]

Bernard Jabs is an artist that I have heard many songs from, but I realized I truly don’t know that much about him. Despite my minuscule amount of knowledge regarding the promising talent, I know that he creates hit after hit, and his latest song “REBIRTH” is definitely even more evidence of that. DJ StagBag and Dxnny Fxntom teamed up to produce this record utilizing some punk rock-inspired guitar riffs, somewhat hip-hop-sounding percussive elements, and a bouncy bassline that will definitely get any party bumping. Although this is a unique foundation for Bernard, he absolutely kills it, sometimes singing with a bit of angst behind his delivery while other times switching up his cadence to full-on rap with flows that can go toe to toe with the biggest names in the industry. As far as the accompanying visual is concerned, he teamed up with a frequent collaborator and one of my favorite up and coming videographers Sam McGrath to shoot a miniature movie, and although the setting was kept pretty minimal, they did everything they needed to and more to bring Bernard’s personality to the forefront. Opening up, Bernard walks into a classroom full of misfit-looking individuals, taking a seat …

Zombiez – [Turbo] ft. [Landon Cube]

I feel like every time I write about Turbo, I have to make a point to mention how I’m typically not a big fan of country music just to emphasize exactly how much I appreciate the songs he has released because they’re beginning to turn the tides for me. Although he definitely incorporates inspiration from other genres in his music, there is no denying the fact that the base of every track definitely has its roots in country music. A couple of weeks ago, he decided to drop off a new record called “Zombiez” with the help of fellow crooner Landon Cube, and as soon as I saw him even tease the track, I knew we were in for a treat. Now, I know I’m late to the party and although I meant to write about this the day it dropped, I’m a busy guy, okay? So, when I saw recently that the song was #1 on SoundCloud’s country charts, I had no choice but to revisit the unbelievable record and share it with the world as if it’s my duty. Manso Beats, the great Taz Taylor, and Turbo himself all worked on the instrumental together, incorporating bright, dreamy acoustic …

Risk – [Landon Cube]

It’s no secret that Landon Cube is a pretty close friend of Lyrical Lemonade’s. Ever since he teamed up with Lil Skies to bring their hit song “Red Roses” to life and got Cole to shoot the visual, the bond was created, and I don’t think it could ever be broken. Landon’s just such an easy artist to root for because he seems like such a normal, down to earth persona rather than this inhuman superstar that he honestly probably is. Back in early December, Landon finally decided to drop off his debut album Sapphire, a 14 song, half-hour-long project that gave fans an even deeper, more introspective look at the incredible talent beyond all the pomp and circumstance that his life might seem to contain from the outside looking in. While fans seem to be as loyal as ever supporting his album, as they should, Landon isn’t even close to done with the fun he has been creating with this release. To further emphasize his point, he recently decided to drop a music video for a cut of the album entitled “Risk”, and I couldn’t be more excited with the results. Landon teamed up with director Sam McGrath, a …

Lie To Me – [Landon Cube]

Landon Cube is without a doubt one of the most talented artists that I have had the honor of coming across in my six years of covering music, he is a special + unique creative who we are all fans of here at LL, and today he is back on our website with his brand new offering titled “Lie To Me”. I have been loving all of the music that Landon has been releasing lately, he has been on a tear with his handful of releases in 2020, and this new joint is only adding more gas to that fire. I am really looking forward to Landon’s next project, so hopefully, we get that before the end of the year, but even if we don’t, these new songs will hold us over. Take a few minutes out of your Friday to stream Landon Cube’s brand new record below!

Groceries – [Landon Cube] ft. [Lil Keed]

I’ve been a big fan of Landon Cube for quite some time, and I know he’s a fan favorite of Lyrical Lemonade followers as well. His smooth yet somewhat punky voice has a unique ability to switch up styles and come off in different ways depending on the type of song he’s creating, and he’s been perfecting his craft for years at this point. While I haven’t paid as much attention to him in recent memory in all honesty, I came across a new song he had with Lil Keed and I had to check it out. This pairing was strange and unexpected, to say the least, but I knew the immense amounts of talents both artists have, so I was confident that they’d know how to not only make this track work but make it shine as well. “Groceries” is the name of this brand-new hit and after giving it my initial listen, I knew my premonitions were correct. Although they sound so drastically different, it’s this change of pace about halfway through that really makes this song truly dynamic and impressive. The production is built through blithe keys mixed with relaxed, lighthearted synths, refreshing percussion, and some impactful …
