Everythang – [Kipp Stone]

Kipp Stone is a native of Cleveland, Ohio who I first got in tune with when I found out he was working with the good folks over at Closed Sessions, and I have kept a close eye on him since. Kipp Stone dropped a solid project earlier this year called HOMME, and it featured a standout record on it “Sprague Street” featuring Mick Jenkins that has been in my headphones all year long. Another song that was featured on the project that I thoroughly enjoyed was “Everythang”, and today Kipp just dropped the new music video for the track! The visual itself just finds Kipp is what I assume is somewhere in his home state, surrounded by nature as he kicked attention-grabbing bars. Kipp Stone is the type of rapper that makes you sit up in your seat a little more, turn the volume up, and pay close attention to his lyrics. I am a big fan of Kipp, hopefully, at some point, I can bring him by the LL office for an interview, but for now, watch this new offering below!

Sprague Street – [Kipp Stone] x [Mick Jenkins]

Kipp Stone is an artist that we have covered a couple of times in the past + today he is back with his brand new record titled “Sprague Street” featuring Mick Jenkins. Anyone that knows Kipp Stone knows that he is one of the best bar-for-bar rappers out of the midwest, he raps with tons of energy + passion in his lyrics, and the same can be said about the legendary Chicago emcee Mick Jenkins. So when I saw that these two paired up for a new track, I knew it was going to be special, but I didn’t expect it to be THIS good. These two each stepped up and gave us memorable contributions to the song, it felt something like when you see two masters of their crafts having a friendly spar. Our Latest Compilation – [Closed Sessions]

Closed Sessions is an independent hip-hop label who have been doing their thing in the Chicago community for a decade-plus, they have helped advance the careers of plenty of the city’s gems and currently have a stacked roster, but today they are finding themselves on our site as a collective with their recent album release simply titled Our Latest Compilation. The good people over at CS have always heard a good ear for talent, so on this project, they recruited some skilled artists such as Khary, Open Mike Eagle, Dave B, Kipp Stone, Kemba, and the Chicago legend ShowYouSuck. However, they didn’t forget to display what talent they have in their own building, as Ajani Jones & Mother Nature got some bars off + this tape was entirely produced by the goat BoatHouse. If there is one thing that the folks over at Closed Sessions can do flawlessly, it’s piece together a project, I highly suggest that you give this one a spin. Smash that play button below! Tracklist: 1. “Whiskey & Push-Ups” feat Open Mike Eagle 2. “Hundred Dollar Bills” feat Dave B. 3. “In Case I Don’t” feat Khary 4. “What It Do, What It Be Like” feat Curtis …

100 Black Panthers – [Kipp Stone]

Only a few days after giving us his “No Heart” freestyle, Kipp Stone is back with his brand new record titled “100 Black Panthers.” The amazing instrumental on this one was provided by Blokhead Johnny, and together the duo cooked up one of the best songs you will hear this week. Kipp has been proving himself the past year or so with plenty of fire music, I’m excited to see where he takes it from here. Peep the new song below & leave your thoughts on the comments!

No Heart Remix – [Kipp Stone]

Closed Sessions affiliate Kipp Stone is back today and this time around it’s for his remix to 21 Savage’s hit song “No Heart.” It seems like on most remix tracks these days, rappers tend to bite the other rappers flow, essentially just changing a few words from the original. However we all know that Kipp is better then that, dare I say he attacked this beat more aggressively then 21 did? Yes that’s a bold statement, but after the first listen you will have to admit that he really did his thing here. Peep the new remix track below & leave your thoughts in the comments!
