Bravery in vulnerability. Honesty in the face of pain. Effortless trend-setting. Undying authenticity. Inimitable talent. Astonishing hooks, soaring highs, and heartfelt lows. Creative ambition. The list goes on. These attributes and so many more are what makes Kid Cudi a living legend. From his stature as one of the most sonically and aesthetically influential artists alive to an entire catalog of classic albums, mixtapes, features, and chart-topping singles, there’s no denying the sheer impact and importance of the Cleveland-bred artist. His contributions not only to music, but to mental health awareness, fashion, and even acting range over a broad palette of interests and ventures, all of which bring fans back to the one and only Scott Mescudi — a multi-talented star in every right and the kind of artist and human that only comes around once in a lifetime. For our team at Lyrical Lemonade and for countless others, Kid Cudi has soundtracked some of our best moments in life just as much as he’s saved and helped us in our worst. Watch KYLE Perform Karaoke To “Pursuit Of Happiness” & “Nothing 2 Lose” With 88Rising

Last month, Ski Mask The Slump God visited the good people at 88Rising for a very-entertaining karaoke session, and today they have dropped the next installment with L.A.-based artist KYLE. Instead of having the artist sing their own records, this time around, KYLE first paid ode to Kid Cudi by performing karaoke to his all-time classic “Pursuit Of Happiness” and then his own hit “Nothing 2 Lose” that came out back in June. It’s really no surprise that he impressed throughout the entire session, as he is well-known for his bouncy flow & ear-pleasing vocals that have helped him sky-rocket up the charts this past year. Besides that, you certainly don’t want to miss out on arguably the best karaoke you’ve ever seen, peep it below! Via: 88Rising

LL Presents: The Jose Santos Q&A

I first met Jose at our second Lyrical Lemonade Cypher, and since then I’ve been following & supporting his music career. He is easily one of the most unique artists I know, for some reason, his music reminds me of fellow Chicago native Towkio. Take a few minutes below to learn a thing or two about him, then be sure to check out his great music catalog here!     EM: First things first, give our readers that may not be familiar with you a brief introduction of yourself JS: Cool, so I go by the name Jo$e Santos (a.k.a. Lil Chair a.k.a. Lil Don Francisco) & Im a 20 year old rapper/artist/part-time fuck boi. Im originally from the city of Chicago but I move around a pretty decent amount though. As of right now I stay out in the burbs. — EM: When did you start creating music? JS: I started creating music last year, 2015. Besides the fact that I loved HipHop/Rap music and just music in general actually, I was hearing peoples tracks on sound cloud and shit and I would see how much love they were getting for making trash ass music and so basically I was like “Damn yo. It cant be that hard …

Lollapalooza 2015 (Recap)

Lollapalooza 2015 has officially wrapped up, as the huge music festival in the heart of Chicago raised hell in the city this past weekend. There were plenty of great musical acts including: Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Raury, Kygo, Metallica, Logic, SZA, Mick Jenkins, G-Eazy, Paul McCartney, Young Thug, Travis Scott (kinda) and more. Chicago’s own Vic Mensa made an appearance on each day of the festival, performing with Dillon Francis on Friday, G-Eazy on Saturday night, and A$AP Rocky on Sunday. A$AP Rocky showed much love to Chicago, shouting out Chance The Rapper and Chief Keef, he also performed a new record featuring Keef titled “Superheros.” On Saturday, Houston native Travis Scott got taken off of the stage and possibly arrested, as he cussed out security over the mic and demanded that fans break down the barricade and joined him on stage. After too many fans got on stage (Travis asked for 10 ragers) Lolla security and the rapper himself asked for festival goers to get off the stage, after plenty of failed attempts and much confusion (and blindsides by security) Travis was pulled off of stage by Lollapolooza security, all while flipping off the Chicago crowd. Worth noting he was …
