After Party – [Rucci] & [AzChike] ft. [Haiti Babii]

Rucci is an artist who has been generating so much buzz on the West Coast that he has been absolutely impossible to ignore. While I might’ve been sleeping in recent months when looking at the music he has put out, he’s always a trusty artist that I always go back to and realize just how awesome his music really is, and I get brought right back into his sonic world no matter what else is on my playlist currently. Considering I’ve been ignorant and not paying as close attention as I should’ve been, I guess I didn’t realize that he released a collaborative album with AzChike called Kourtesy of Us which boasts a whopping 21 songs that span almost 50 minutes long, showing listeners just how wonderfully these two emcees work with one another. Although this project contains numerous features including artists like Kalan.FrFr, Cypress Moreno, PJay, Boosie Badazz, and many more, one of my favorite guests has to be Haiti Babii on their song “After Party”, so when I found out that they teamed up for a music video, I couldn’t wait to write about it. Directed by Stacking Memories, this video might not take us to any extravagant …

Pricey – [Capolow] feat. [Haiti Babii]

One thing that never goes unnoticed with me, is the massive amount of energy that bleeds from the Bay Area. Home of many creatives, Northern Cali is always known for delivering banger after banger that will for sure be in rotation at any function. While the Bay Area is most known for one distinctive sound, many artists are able to venture out of that world and tackle other avenues as well. Emerging artist Capolow is making his debut on our Lyrical Lemonade platform with the release of his latest visuals “Pricey” featuring hello California-native Haiti Babii. Capolow has had a pretty eventful career thus far. Most recently, he collaborated with another Bay Area heavy hitter Kamaiyah on their joint project Oakland Nights. Tailing right off of the success of that tape, Capolow came right back this month with the release of his latest full-length offering Kid Next Door, which is an album that satisfies many tastes and likings. For the visuals of “Pricey”, Capolow and Haiti Babii bring that high energy and vibe to his hometown. With the Bay being so heavily influenced by that west coast sound, “Pricey” features a great diversion from the ordinary and encompasses more of a trap …

PREMIERE: Check Me Out – [Rucci] ft. [Haiti Babii]

I’m slightly disappointed in myself because I take a good amount of pride knowing a pretty solid amount about the West Coast music scene, and somehow, I let Rucci fall through my fingers. I’ve definitely heard his name before, but I’ve never taken the time to tune in which is unfortunate because he’s definitely making waves in the scene, making a case as to why he needs to be taken more seriously. He has been through a lot in his life and instead of getting down or depressed, he uses music to have fun, pay tribute to those who have been given jail sentences or have departed this Earth too soon, and just show that he’s definitely a force to be reckoned with not only in the studio but in the streets as well. His latest single, which is called “Check Me Out” and features fellow California talent Haiti Babii, is the first single off of his newly announced upcoming mixtape which is the first follow-up to his debut album Tako’s Son. The beat uses heavy, powerful horns or synths of some kind combined with light, elevated piano keys and absolutely thunderous drums to create a foundation that couldn’t possibly …
