RAMBO – [Woes]

I never have to look very far or dig very deep at all when looking at the music industry that was formed decades ago here in Chicago, and while it makes my job that much easier, it also can make it difficult to decide what I want to write about next. One of the more local artists that I heard about recently is Woes, a 26-year-old emcee from the city who has definitely been making waves but considering this movement has been thanks to mostly singles at this point, I think it is time that he drops a new project soon. Luckily, this is the case, and although his work has been predominantly on his own with the exception of a few guest verses over the years including an insane contribution from Ric Wilson on his record “School Zone” which dropped last year, he seems to fair just fine without too much assistance from anyone else. Although he’s new to my radar, Woes thoroughly impressed me with his latest release “RAMBO” which was produced by Goodboy, and it turns out that this record is expected to be featured on his upcoming EP DON’T BLINK which is set to release on …

Stolie – [Ayee Resoo] & [Pitt Tha Kid]

This year has seen strong introductions from plenty of artists who have taken the time this year to focus their efforts on moving into music. With producers becoming more forward-thinking, they are finding rising artists and using their beats to elevate talent out the gate. These collaborations show that producers really are some of the best A&R’s in the game. Today, Toronto-based producer Pitt Tha Kid has teamed up with a new act out of Gary, Indiana that has been gaining a ton of hype leading up to the release. The artist’s name is Ayee Resoo and he just dropped a fire new single titled “Stolie” with production coming from Pitt The Kid as well as two talented rising producers named Crescendo and bradxday. The chemistry between the two is evident and it makes sense why Pitt wanted to take Resoo to the next level. The single dropped with a video directed by TheGoodBoy, the energetic pace of the editing match Ayee Resoo’s smooth melodic delivery. This song is one that gets stuck in your head, but with stellar visuals to accompany the release it’s a strong showing of what Ayee Resoo has in the chamber for 2021. With Resoo’s …

Cookies & Sherbert – [Rich The Kid]

Rich Forever bossman Rich The Kid has come through with a stunning visual for his track “Cookies & Sherbert” that originally dropped as a new single a couple of weeks ago. The Nard & B-produced record is easily one of Rich’s hottest tracks to date as he felt right at home spitting his energetic verses over the banging production, and now, the video courtesy of GoodBoyShady captures the true love-story between Rich and his favorite weed strains. What starts out in what looks like a trap house kitchen also see’s Rich flexing with RF affiliate Jay Critch on a doorstep, hopping out of his Bentley whip and even a first-person shot examining his jewelry. The 25-year-old has never failed to surprise us with his always-entertaining videos, and this is just another example of his charisma & energy that his fan base loves him for. Be sure to check out the “Cookies & Sherbert” visual below and let us know what you thought about it in the comments section! Directed By: GoodBoyShady
