Watch Stormzy Perform “Crown” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Despite being caught in the middle of an ongoing feud with fellow UK rapper Wiley, Stormzy appeared to brush it off the other night in order to make his US television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In order to show off his versatility through both his bars as well as his ability to sing when necessary, he decided to perform his song “Crown” off of his sophomore album entitled Heavy is the Head. “Crown” is a slower cut than a lot of UK rappers normally make and Stormzy gets pretty introspective. It starts out with a gentle piano at the beginning, embellishing the words that Stormzy sings. After a pretty brief introduction of this style, the choir and live band, which includes some of The Roots, picks up the pace and gets a little funkier and more soulful. It’s during this time that Stormzy showcases his always impressive bars before the hook returns to a sound more reminiscent of the introduction. If you haven’t heard Stormzy’s second album Heavy is the Head, you need to get on that as soon as possible. “Crown” is the perfect example of why, because even though he might not win a …

Juice WRLD has been in New York doing a press run and appearing at many big platforms, and the latest platform that he graced was Jimmy Fallon’s stage last night! Juice performed one of the fan favorites off of his last album with “Hear Me Calling”, but he wasn’t alone for the show, he got some assistance from one of the most legendary bands, The Roots! Needless to say that they did a fantastic job and gave the audience a great show, and lucky for us we get to watch it on repeat via The Tonight Show’s YouTube. Watch this brand new live performance below and if you enjoy it be sure to give Juice WRLD a follow on Twitter here.

Watch Noname, Smino + Saba on The Tonight Show

Last year Noname recently one of my favorite albums of the year with Room 25, and a couple of days back she performed live on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon along side her frequent collaborators Smino and Saba! Noname is certainly no stranger to the limelight as she has performed on television a couple times prior to this, and sure enough Noname, her band and her team did a magnificent job at giving us a memorable + special moment for Chicago. Take a few minutes of your day to check out this awesome live performances below!

Watch Noname perform “Ace” on Jimmy Fallon with Saba & Smino

Noname’s Room 25 may have dropped last summer, but the Chicago poet and rapper is certainly not done basking in the light that her sophomore album has brought into the world. Following up her special homecoming New Year’s shows, Noname brought Room 25 to the Tonight Show stage last night to perform “Ace”. Flanked by Smino and Saba, the whole squad showed out and delivered a breathtaking live rendition of the track, striking me as one of those performances that gives you a renewed appreciation for the song. Smino’s melodies sound even more buttery while Noname attacks the mic possessed with a mix of bliss and gall, and once Saba comes in with his verse, the crowd immediately meets him with applause. This one is a gem, so be sure to watch the three artists perform “Ace” below:

Watch JID Perform Skrawberries w/ BJ The Chicago Kid & Thundercat on Fallon Tonight

This last week of November turned out to be one of the most memorable weeks of music all year. As one of week’s blockbuster projects, the release of JID’s highly anticipated album, DiCaprio 2 on Monday, November 26, marked a pivotal moment in the young MC’s career. Celebrating this, JID brought along BJ The Chicago Kid and Thundercat to the Tonight Show stage to deliver a captivating live rendition of “Skrawberries.” This live rendition focuses on the performers, with no major effects other than colored lights, allowing for the powerful tone and message of the song to be clearly conveyed to both the studio audience and the audience watching from home with ease. Also notable, JID takes a moment prior to the song’s start to dedicate the performance to Mac Miller who actually contributed to “Skrawberries” production. Watch JID’s live performance of “Skrawberries” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and Thundercat on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon below and tell us what you think of the new album and performance in the comment section!

Watch Lil Wayne Perform “Dedicate” with The Roots on Fallon Tonight

The long-awaited release of Lil Wayne’s, Tha Carter V was well worth the wait. Lil Wayne’s fifth installment of the Carter series is already set to claim it’s spot as number one on the Billboard charts and has sparked the Uproar challenge currently sweeping the country. Although the 23-track album is filled with numerous standouts, Weezy brings “Dedicate” to life during his performance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. With support from The Roots, Lil Wayne is effortless with his delivery and stage presence bringing the cinematic track to life for the New York audience. The new performance has us already curious as to Wayne’s plans for a possible tour as he is already set to replace Childish Gambino at Austin City Limits. Watch Lil Wayne’s live performance of “Dedicate” below and tell us what you think of the live version in the comments.

Watch Offset & Metro Boomin perform ‘Ric Flair Drip’ on Jimmy Fallon with Ric Flair

21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin’s Ric Flair Drip video shook the internet last month after it’s release, with one of the obvious highlights being Ric Flair in the flesh flexing alongside the gang. Now, the standout record from that startling joint project Without Warning has made it’s way to television as Offset & Ric Flair shared an amazing performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Dripping in their flashy robes, the duo of Set & Ric Flair meet in the middle of a boxing ring before turning up together while Offset unleashed his cutthroat verse that undoubtedly helped fuel the hype behind this record. Also, it goes without saying that Ric Flair is a legend for starring in the wild visual for the track and performing alongside the Migos member while sporting a ‘Ric Flair Drip’ shirt that you can find for purchase on his website. My words don’t do much justice for the entertainment in-store for this performance, so without further ado check out Offset & Ric Flair’s TV-spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon below!

Watch A$AP Rocky perform A$AP Forever/ Distorted Records on Jimmy Fallon

A$AP Rocky’s performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon features one of the most creative choreographies to ever go on-air at the NBC studio. Performing his most recent single A$AP Forever & snippet’s of a new joint called Distorted Records,  Pretty Flacko looks to take the role of a patient quarantined in a room while masked scientists look on in the background. First lying motionless on a bed, the Harlem native then rises up and begins to perform his exceptional A$AP Forever record that happens to be one of my favorite releases from Rocky in a long, long time. Let’s hope his current press tour means a Flacko’s third studio album is right around the corner, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Be sure to check out A$AP Rocky’s performance on Jimmy Fallon below and don’t-miss Rich The Kid’s performance of his platinum record Plug Walk right here.

Watch Rich The Kid perform ‘Plug Walk’ on Jimmy Fallon

A few days ago, Rich The Kid made his first TV appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’ performing his hit single Plug Walk that has continued to do numbers even after the barrage of new music on his sparkling debut project The World Is Yours. Backed by who-else but The Roots, Rich instantly got the crowd buzzing with his infectious energy on stage that only a few artists fully bring to the table when performing on the notorious Tonight Show. Plus, it wouldn’t have been a complete Rich Forever experience without the label boss flexing his flashy jewelry while getting in a little promotion for his album in the closing moments. TheLabCook-produced record is already well on its way to being Rich’s second platinum record, so while keeping eyes on that, don’t miss Rich The Kid’s debut TV spot on Jimmy Fallon below! A$AP Forever – [A$AP Rocky]

Flacko Szn is rapidly approaching. As he teased on Twitter, A$AP Rocky premiered a brand new song tonight on The Jimmy Fallon Show titled “A$AP Forever.” Featuring percussion that harkens back to the days of Long. Live. ASAP, and a distinct sample of Moby’s melancholic “Porcelain,” the song is a triumphant return to form for the Harlem rapper. Much has been made of the drastically different sounds that Rocky has been experimenting with as of late, particularly on the three “testing” tracks that he released earlier this year. While there still aren’t any confirmed details regarding the release of his third studio album, Pretty Flacko is keeping his foot firmly on the gas with this latest record. Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, check out “A$AP Forever” below and on other streaming platforms, and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Words by Luke Hinz
