19-Year-Old Isaiah Wallace Releases “Backbone”

Sometimes we learn what we love a bit late in life. However, for 19-year-old Isaiah Wallace, he knew exactly what he loved from early on in life. From the age of 12, the Tennessee artist began writing lyrics. By 2018, Wallace took a leap of faith and decided to record and release his music. The young rapper revealed that a lot of his creativity stems from his city, and he hopes to make strides to improve his hometown. On a normal day, you can catch him on a rooftop writing while looking over his city. The core of Isaiah’s music recognizes generations of hip-hop by combining classical beats with millennial 808s. As an independent artist with 100,00 streams on Spotify, Wallace provides listeners with an alternative viewpoint on the culture, but one that remains true to the heart. Today, the aspiring artist released a song titled “Backbone” via Soundcloud. Only 15 seconds into the track, the club-like beat drops, and the rest is magic. Wallace did not disappoint with his fierce wordplay as each verse contains another bar that might sweep you off your feet. While this is my first time hearing music from him, he definitely has captured my …

That’s OK – [Cam Wallace]

For those who have been following the Lyrical Lemonade platform, many would see that Cam Wallace has been an act that has appeared on the site more than a handful of times. One of the things that I love most about his artistry, is his ability to match any given style at any given style, and not make it sound like it’s forced at all. Releasing single after single, Cam Wallace is back with another banger, this time, titled “That’s OK”. In the midst of remaining humble as much as possible in the game, Cam Wallace has never been the type of artist that loves to brag about what he has pr what he has going on. That being said, it’s okay to do so every so often. That’s the approach that Cam took on his latest joint “That’s OK”, letting that reassurance out that it’s okay to do some fly shit and talk about it, on a song, amongst your crew, or even on the gram. “Big boy coupe, I drove that bitch to outer space” he raps during the chorus, letting it be known that he’s poppin’ out in the biggest and flashiest car he has. When speaking …

Deez Boyz – [Cam Wallace]

Following up on the success of his single with Wiz Khalifa “Retail”, Cam Wallace is still cruisin’ along with full speed ahead and he’s on his way to the top. Something that’s been admirable about Cam, is that he managed to be from Houston, yet learned how to adapt to any and every style of rap around him, regardless of where he is from. Doing such a feat is something that is hard to do, and he keeps that momentum up here as he releases his visuals for his latest single “Deez Boyz”. If one thing is for sure, we know Cam Wallace is gonna come with some bars and some catchy lines to come along with it. On “Deez Boyz”, it is full of quotable lines and bars that will make you have to run it back after hitting the stank face at it. “Deez boys ain’t ready, I’m wit’ it” he raps, as he lets the world know that he is ready, trained to go, and wants all the smoke from any rapper who wants to try him. The campaign that Cam Wallace has been going on as he drops off visuals from his EP These Perfect Moments has …

Retail (Remix) – [Cam Wallace] feat. [Wiz Khalifa]

Houston-native Cam Wallace has been an artist that I have been championing a lot lately on this platform. Three’s just something about his approach to his artistry and the way he crafts his music that just reels me into his releases every single time he drops. Back in May, we covered his Wiz Khalifa-assisted track “Retail (Remix)” and it has been going crazy ever since its release. Spotify stats shows that the song has now earned over 1.2 million streams on that platform alone. To briefly recap the track, Cam and Wiz Khalifa (whose name is also Cam) trade verses over a chill instrumental as they both talk that talk. Today, he is back on our platform to drop off the new visual for his collaboration with Wiz Khalifa, “Retail (Remix)”. “Wiz always brings the ultimate vibes to any record he’s on. When I heard his approach to his verse, I was like ‘oh this is perfect’. He literally added another layer of cool to the record.” – Cam Wallace For the visuals, Cam Wallace sits sideline at a fashion show as he watched many beautiful ladies cross his path, admiring them all. As Wiz gets his verse off, he walks …

Retail (Remix) – [Cam Wallace] feat. [Wiz Khalifa]

“Wiz always brings the ultimate vibes to any record he’s on. When I heard his approach to his verse, I was like ‘oh this is perfect’. He literally added another layer of cool to the record.” -Cam Wallace Coming fresh off of the release of his high-energy track “We Made It”, Houston-native Cam Wallace is back with another record to showcase just how diverse his armory is when it comes to all that he can deliver. This time around, he takes it down a notch over a smooth instrumental giving off a chill vibe. Tapping in the Taylor Gang head honcho and rap game legend, Wiz Khalifa, Cam Wallace is back with another hit, titled “Retail (Remix)”. “I just lift the doors up, then lit the ‘dro up” Cam raps, as he continues to spew out more chill bars and match the beat perfectly. Obtaining the legend that is Wiz Khalifa was amazing to hear on this record since this is the vibe that Wiz can effortlessly float on. Following the lead of Cam Wallace, Wiz does exactly what Wiz does, and does it well. Cam is now 2 for 2 when it comes to hit records, and I’m super excited …

We Made It – [Cam Wallace]

After a year of turmoil that many of us faced last year, there seems to be a lot of light at the end of the tunnel for some. Speaking in terms of the music business, concerts are coming back, artists are moving around, festival season is right around the corner, and new deals are on the table for many artists. Regardless, there are a lot of things for people to begin to look forward to and say, we made it. This is something that the Houston-native Cam Wallace had in mind when he created his latest single. Today, he returns to our platforms to premiere his latest offering, “We Made It”. Cam Wallace has a lot to be celebrating as of late, which makes this single even more fitting. Most recently, he just inked a new record deal with Motown, with “We Made It” being the first official single released on the label. The amazing thing about the term “making it”, is that it’s entirely subjective. No matter what your accomplishments are, you have the power to determine what “making it” means, and Cam Wallace explains that perfectly with this record. Produced by Triza, this song provides the perfect background …

Retail – [Cam Wallace]

Cam Wallace might be a relatively new name to me, but that doesn’t mean he’s a new name in the music industry whatsoever. After earning songwriting credits for artists like Beyoncé, Chris Brown, and Ciara, to name a few, he finally decided to step out into the spotlight on his own and let fans know that he’s not just a genius behind a pen and paper, but an unbelievable artist behind a microphone as well. Although I’m a couple of weeks late to the music video for his song “Retail”, once I finally got around to listening, I was blown away and simply could hold myself back from writing about it. Swoope, a producer who Cam has frequently collaborated with throughout his career, brought this record to life a very soulful, distorted vocal sample combined with chattering hats and claps and succinct, smooth drums that just ride out incredibly. Cam matches the vibe of the song seamlessly, allowing his lyrics to roll off of his tongue like butter. His delivery is calm, cool, and collected, never getting too enthusiastic but rather remaining somewhat even-keeled while still accounting for some room to get slightly melodic and tuneful with his lyrics. This …

Our 50 Favorite Wiz Khalifa Songs

In the music world, influence manifests itself in many different ways. Whether it be sonically — changing the sounds that artists use and often creating some sort of new trend and/or subgenre in the process — or aesthetically — changing the “cool” styles in music and the lifestyles that artists speak about in their songs — influence can arrive packaged as a quick viral moment or a lasting flame, both of which hold value in their own rights.  Pittsburgh’s own, the Taylor Gang representative himself, Wiz Khalifa, is one of the rare talents who comes around and entirely shifts the culture in both of the aforementioned ways. Especially when he first came out, Wiz’s lanky, tattooed build and effortlessly cool stoner lifestyle made him a genuinely alluring artist, and while his personal style (snapbacks, the dyed patch of hair, etc.) was worthy of mention, the music was there to back it all up. Simply put, Wiz’s style, both on the mic and off, quickly set a standard for creatives and other artists to congregate toward, marking him as one of music’s most underrated culture-shifters of the last decade or so. Even further, beyond the influence that Wiz has had on a …

S a v a g e – [Cam Wallace]

Cam Wallace is making his way back to our pages tonight with his brand new offering titled “S a v a g e.” One of the first things that will catch your attention once you click play is certainly the smooth instrumental, which was simple for the most part, but the sound effects & the drums made is extremely addicting. Cam took full advantage of the great beat and pieced together a song that you don’t want to sleep on, check it out below! Cam left us with some words along with this release, saying “Hopefully this makes someone get up and go get it. Myself included… whatever “It” may be.”

Missed Calls/Dead Wrong – [Cam Wallace]

Cam Wallace just released a new track titled “Missed Calls/Dead Wrong,” and it’s simply magic. He hopped over his own excellent self produced instrumental this time around, and he let out all of his feelings on a certain relationship in his life within the two and a half minute joint. I’m not too familiar with Cam or his music, but what I can say is that after this listen, he definitely has added another fan. Peep the new material below!
