STILL CHOSE YOU – [The Kid LAROI] ft. [Mustard]

I think it’s safe to say that The Kid LAROI somewhat shocked the music world the other day with his announcement stating that he went on a vacation recently where he realized that he needs to take some time away from music in order to get mentally right and prepare for his next project which is set to be his debut album. It’s amazing, in my eyes, that he has had so much success without ever actually releasing an official album, but I give him so much respect for taking a step back and getting his mind right before he continues on in his already fruitful career. In order to send fans off right, LAROI teamed up with. Mustard once again to shoot a music video for their song “STILL CHOSE YOU” off of the first disc of his lengthy F*CK LOVE #+: OVER YOU project, and considering this was a standout on the whopping 35 song tape for me personally, I couldn’t wait to tune in. Directed by Arrad, things open up with LAROI sitting on top of a clean white grand piano as Mustard plays the instrument, but you can see the pain in the young artist’s eyes …

Bad Man (Smooth Criminal) – [Polo G]

When I think back to a time in Chicago rap music about a decade ago, Chief Keef was blowing up and putting the city on the map while other homegrown talents like Lil Durk, G Herbo, and Lil Bibby were helping to solidify our spot as one of the top hip-hop hubs in the world. There’s no denying that all of the aforementioned names are legends in their own right, but after seeing the city go through a bit of a period of uncertainty, I wasn’t sure if there would ever be an artist that could reach their levels of success. I’m not sure why I didn’t just continue to have faith in the artists here because there have been numerous talents who have proven me wrong since, but few have made an impact quite like Polo G. He went from being a star in the streets to a star in the spotlight of hip-hop music all over the world, and after hearing all of the experiences he has gone through to get to where he is now, I couldn’t be happier for him. To my surprise, Capalot did the impossible and turned a Michael Jackson Classic into an unforgettable …

Super – [Cordae]

If you didn’t already know prior to today, Cordae is a star and there’s no arguing that fact. Ever since he ditched the YBN part of his name, he has taken his solo career to new heights, and after all of the massive features and accomplishments he has achieved throughout his relatively short career thus far, it seems like he is only going to skyrocket even more into the spotlight, making him an artist you need on your radar regardless of what kind of music you might typically listen to. As he prepares fans for an upcoming album that has yet to receive a release date, as far as I know, he is back and better than ever on his latest record “Super”, which also received an accompanying music video directed by Arrad. This song is an absolute banger, which is to be expected from the DMV native, but the music video takes us to some different parts of the city where he obviously runs things regardless of the situation. When it opens, he is standing on top of a building overlooking a neon-lit city before the camera pans down into the building where he sits at his desk in …
