Resume – [Adot]

A couple of days ago a random record from Chicago emcee Adot hit the internet via GOLD‘s Soundcloud account, and after bumping through it a few times I thought why not share it with our audience? Whenever you see fellow Chicagoan Luke Almighty and Adot connect you know there’s about to be some serious damage, and sure enough Luke cooked up the perfect beat to compliment Adot’s unique sound, and it made for an all around ear pleasing joint. Go ahead and take a couple minutes of your time to get in tune with some of Chicago’s finest rising talent.

Phases & More – [Adot]

It’s always an awesome day whenever we get a brand new record from Chicago emcee Adot, but it’s an even better day when we get two songs from him, which is the case this morning as he just dropped “Phases” and “More”. On the first joint Adot wasted no time getting into it, rapping his ass off for two minutes straight, leaving plenty of lyrical gems behind in the process. On the second offering we get a more up-tempo and hard hitting instrumental and Adot complimented the beat with some haunting stories of his past to match. Take a few minutes of your day to stream both of these songs via Soundcloud below and if you like it give him a follow! Both of these songs produced by Machobeatz

TOP 50 CHICAGO PROJECTS OF 2018

While Chicago has been known as a reputable city in hip-hop for numerous years now, this revered position has not arrived without the constant innovation and hard work of the artists that so faithfully represent the prowess of their home city. It is these artists that we have to credit for this respected reputation, and we here at Lyrical Lemonade try to honor this in every way possible by constantly bringing new Chicago acts into our headlines here on our website. That said, 2018 has been yet another fantastic year for Chicago music, so we went ahead and compiled a list of our “Top 50 Chicago Projects” of the year. This now marks the third year that we have been putting out this list, and we believe that it’s safe to say this year’s list might just be the most solid one from top to bottom that we’ve seen yet. Thank you to our terrific writing staff for all of the hard work they have put in this year, I will be linking their socials below so be sure to contact them about getting featured on the website in the future. March Sadness – [Adot]

Late last night Chicago emcee Adot blessed us with a brand new offering titled “March Sadness”!  The first thing I notice when I found this track was the production credit from Machobeatz and Hippie Dream, Adot and Macho have a past working together and they haven’t let us down yet, and this new joint was certainly no disappointment. This production was something out of a dream (no pun intended) and Adot took full advantage at the path that was paved for him, complimenting the beat with a flow that starts slow but speeds up quickly depending on which section of the beat he wants to pick apart. Listen to this brand new tune below and if you like it be sure to give Adot a follow on Soundcloud here.

Killswitch – [Adot] x [Warhol.ss]

While scrolling through Soundcloud I saw that a track recently hit that internet titled “Killswitch” by Chicago natives Adot and Warhol, and it was the perfect track to share with our audience tonight. The menacing and bass knocking production by unathletic caught my attention immediately before Warhol stepped up to the plate and dropped a memorable hook like he constantly does, leading into his impressive verse, then finally being capped off by the contribution from Adot! This was a really good song but I expected nothing less, I highly suggest that you give it a chance below!

Phoenix – [Adot] prod. [Luke Almighty] [Macho Beatz]

It seems like a week doesn’t go by without a new track from Adot, and today, the Chicago rapper has us our weekly dose with “Phoenix.” As he makes a name around his signature cold, monotonous flows, he also continues to grow as an artist and “Phoenix” is the latest glimpse at his evolution. He rides the beat with precision and his raps have a numbing effect, allowing feelings of pain an angst to roll off his words in a way that’s completely authentic. Producers Luke Almighty and Macho Beatz snap on the beat, cooking up a menacing, heavy trap instrumental to turn up to.

No L’s – [Adot]

Fresh off of the stage at the first annual Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash just a few days back, LL favorite & Chicago native is back with a brand new tune titled “No L’s”. He joined forces with producer Macho Beatz who cooked up this menacing instrumental, and if you know anything about Adot you know that he thrives over these types of beats, so you can already assume the outcome. It’s been awesome to watch Adot grow as an artist since 2014, he can came a far way but I think that he is still in the blossoming stages, leaving only the best to come. Take a few minutes of your time to check out this brand tune and if you like it be sure to give Adot a follow on Twitter here.

It’s Okay – [Adot]

If you saw that we announced our Lyrical Lemonade festival yesterday you probably noticed that Chicago native & LL favorite Adot will be opening for us, and today he is back with some brand new heat in the form of “It’s Okay”. AS soon as you press play prepare to be greeted by a funky yet hard hitting instrumental that was handled by Propane Lord, before Adot jumped on the beat with a bit different style compared to most of his material, but it turned out great & I am glad to see him mix it up. Stream this brand new offering below and if you like it be sure to follow Adot on Soundcloud here!

Deliver Us From Evil – [Luke Almighty]

Luke Almighty has been featured on our page too many times to count at this point, as he’s been regularly supplying some of the hardest trap beats to Chicago’s most promising underground rappers for the past year. Today, the culmination of the producer’s growing catalog of beats and laundry list of frequent collaborators comes in the form of “Deliver Us From Evil”. It’s always interesting to see what a producer will do when they drop their own project, whether they’ll stick to the same formula that landed them their biggest hits or if they’ll push their sound to new places. Luke offers a balance of these two sides on “Deliver Us From Evil”, continuing to give us heavy bass and crisp drums—probably the strongest weapon in his arsenal—while also showing a willingness to experiment. You can hear this balance on tracks like the album’s opener, “Certain”, which kicks things off on an upbeat note with a chopped-up guitar riff looping throughout. This tape is as much a solo debut for Luke as it is a sample platter of the city’s strongest talent in the trap arena. Luke clicks with each artist to tailor the beat around their vibe, venturing toward …

Take It Off – [Luke Almighty] ft. [Duffle Bag Buru] [Adot]

If you’ve been tapped into Chicago’s current hip-hop scene, you’ve most likely heard “Almighty on the beat, you know how we rockin’” tagged on some of your favorite tracks from the city’s most promising artists. Luke Almighty has quickly made a name for himself as a go-to supplier of heavy trap and drill-influenced beats to a growing roster of local talent. Now, the 23-year-old producer is ready to drop his own debut mixtape, “Deliver Us From Evil”, set to drop on June 30th. Luke is giving listeners the second glimpse at what to expect from his project with a new single, “Take It Off” featuring Adot and Duffle Bag Buru, which we are premiering today. On paper, this track already sets high expectations before you even hit play. Once you do, though, it becomes clear that the three artists have followed through with a song that bangs, albeit not in the way you might have expected. Chopping up a piano sample over a bumping baseline, Luke crafts a beat unlike anything I’ve heard him do before. He keeps us on our toes but keeps the same explosive energy that has become synonymous with his signature sound. It’s not an easy beat …
