Zoom! – [1nonly]

As I dive deeper and deeper into the world of music, I notice that there are some names that constantly pop up due to their work with other artists, but I sometimes sleep on solo music, and that’s always on me for not paying more attention. One of these artists specifically is 1nonly, someone I’ve heard on various tracks with Savage Ga$p, and even though I’m legitimately always impressed with his contributions to these songs, I have really failed to dive into his other music, but that ends today.

2020 was a huge year for the Las Vegas native, but with 2021 rapidly approaching its end, 1nonly is making a strong push as well as a case as to why he’s someone you need on your radar, because he is only going to continue making hits, and you don’t want to miss out on a single release from here on out. This push is beginning with his song “Zoom!”, a track that samples the Teriyaki Boyz’ and Pharrell’s infamous track “Tokyo Drift” which was obviously the theme song for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Although others have sampled this record in the past, 1nonly puts his own impressive spin on things, making it a record unlike anything you’ve heard prior to this. When he comes in, he wastes absolutely no time getting into the meat of things, showing off his lower-pitched vocals that are full of attack as he just assaults the beat, peppering the microphone with constant lines that are as catchy as it gets before slowing things up halfway through, providing some complexity to this offering.

If this is your introduction to 1nonly, you might notice a slight similarity to $NOT, or at least that’s someone who comes to mind personally, but he makes sure to show off exactly why he’s such a unique, one-of-a-kind talent that can’t be too closely compared to anyone whatsoever at the end of the day. 1nonly is not only an amazing emcee, but he’s someone you need to keep on your radar moving forward, so make sure to check out his latest single “Zoom!” as soon as you get the chance.
