The Cheater – [Lil Gotit]

Throughout my years in this industry as a writer and contributor for Lyrical Lemonade, I have honestly come across few talents who are as surprising as Lil Gotit. The Atlanta emcee was always someone I had enjoyed even early on, but I really only listened to him when he was featured on one of his brother, Lil Keed’s songs, and that was really the extent of my experience with him. Then, one day I randomly decided to check out one of his earlier mixtapes to just find something new and different to listen to, and that is exactly when I turned into a fan of the young star.

I honestly don’t know what song did it for me, but I knew that as soon as I heard how versatile his voice could be and how enthusiastic his cadences proved to be, I knew that he was going to be one of my favorites for quite some time and that admiration only continues to skyrocket now that his latest project The Cheater is in our hands. I am always happy when we receive new music from him, but it seems like this year started out pretty quietly when compared to other moments in time where it felt like not even a few days could go by without new music, so with 19 new songs that last over 50 minutes long, I’m just excited to know that he had his foot on the gas even when he wasn’t dropping hits left and right like usual.

As is par for the course, Gotit even recruited a number of captivating talents like Lil Keed, Ty Dolla $ign, Yak Gotti, B Slime, Millie Go Lightly, Toosii, and more, making sure to show off his generosity while continuing to have some fun regardless of if he’s on a record alone or with some of his homies. Lil Gotit has taken on a few different personas throughout the years, and while it is difficult to decide which one reigns supreme, I think it goes without saying that The Cheater is just another awesome project from the young phenom that you’re going to want to tap in with if you call yourself a fan.
