Late last night hip-hop legend and Lyrical Lemonade favorite Lil Wayne released his long awaited album Tha Carter V, and any Lil Wayne fan can tell you about the true significance of this day, having waited seven years since Tha Carter IV. When this album released last night at midnight I listened all the way through it a couple times, but I wanted to run through it a few more times this morning before I wrote this post, and man I truly am speechless. There was plenty of high moments on this album for me, but a couple stand outs included the beautiful & soulful outro “Let It All Work Out” as well as master piece “Mona Lisa” featuring Kendrick Lamar where they both flex their storytelling skills. The features on this album were absolutely star studded, coming from the likes of Nicki Minaj, XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Sosamann, his daughter Reginae Carter, Snoop Dogg, Ashanti, Nivea, Mack Maine and Sampha. I could continue to type for hours with the excitement I have from listening to this all around stellar album again & again, but go ahead & give it a spin for yourself via Apple Music here!

Production by Metro Boomin, Swizz Beats Mannie Fresh, Zaytoven, Dr. Dre and more!
