Cleveland artist Doe Boy has had an impressive last several weeks, featuring his signing to Future’s Freebandz under Epic Records and even more recently he unveiled his star-studded new album Streetz Need Me 2 which boasts guest appearances from Young Thug, Mike Epps, YG, Future, Gunna, Key Glock, Lil Durk, and NoCap and instead of these features watering down the project it was interesting to see Doe Boy interact with and riff off of his well-known and wildly talented counterparts.

Some of my personal favorites from the album are his reflective track “Skip Skool” that has a deal of grimy lyrical content and personal details about Doe Beezy’s adolescence, I also greatly enjoyed the up-tempo track “Walk Down” that features production from Honorable C-Note and a guest verse from YG who matches the energy and flow set initially by Doe Boy. Another memorable track from this project was Doe Boy and Future’s collaborative effort “Most Wanted” that opens with a fearless verse and hook from Future and Doe Boy slides on after him with a distinct bravado and sincerity. I greatly enjoyed listening through this project and I would highly recommend checking out Doe Boy’s new album Streetz Need Me 2 and I would not be surprised at all if Doe Boy begins to enter the class of mainstream rap stars because of it.
