This last month has certainly been one to remember with its number of new releases. Luckily for you, the staff at Lyrical Lemonade have got you covered with some of our favorites in the month of May. Be sure to check them out below and let us know if we missed any!

(NO PARTICULAR ORDER)

Rebels – Ohana Ban

Ohana Bam has been fairly quiet since the release of his “Orientation” mixtape earlier this year, but a few weeks ago, the Chicago lyricist returned with an impressive new record titled “Rebels.” Much like his previous tracks, Ohana unleashed his gritty style of rap backed by an electrifying beat that can get anyone in the mood to turn-up. This pick was most definitely a no-brainer, and you can expect to see Ohana Bam crack our list several more times as the year goes on.

duckdown. – femdot

Femdot is certainly no stranger to our Top Songs list. The Chicago spitter had an incredible month after letting loose his latest track titled “duckdown” and selling out his first headlining performance on Sunday night. On top of that, there was really no debating that “duckdown” would crack this list, as the Moa-produced record saw Fem deliver his unmatched bars over a unique, almost psychedelic vibe. Make sure to keep posted to this guy throughout the year, as he is sure to have more in store for us very soon.

Poker Face – Lucki

There may or may not be an artist on this list who had such a memorable month quite like Lucki. After dropping his highly-anticipated project titled “Watch My Back” on May 6th, his ever growing fanbase has been picking apart the mixtape and choosing standouts like “Poker Face.”  With production from Adio & Plu2o Nash, Lucki hopped on the menacing beat with charismatic lyrics on his women and trusting in a pharmaceutical company known as Wockhardt. Did I also mention that he turned 21 yesterday?

Never Know – Monster Mike

Monster Mike is back yet again on the list with his latest offering titled “Never Know,” which follows his “imsuparaw 1.5” track that found its way onto the list in April. The Plu20 Nash-produced joint is definitely topping his song from last month, as Monster Mike took a slower approach to the soft, druggy beat and delivered his raw lyricism & wordplay. Let’s see if Monster Mike can crack the list for a third time next month, but for now, let this loosie ring through your speakers.

Lost And Found – Yung Pinch

Arguably the hottest upcoming name out of Cali has seen his fan base grow exponentially as of late, so it was no question that Yung Pinch and his banger of a track titled “Lost And Found” would be making this list. While it wasn’t the only song he dropped this month, Pinch really showcased his ability to flow over any beat with his smooth vocals, in which he did exceptionally on this Matics Music-produced record who has had his hands on basically every Pinch track in the last year. I suggest you press play on this one right now, as you’ll definitely be glad you did.

No Mercy – Yung Bans ft. Yung Lean

After finally being released from incarceration in mid-April, Yung Bans is looking to make some real noise in the music scene, and his track with Yung Lean titled “No Mercy” is helping him do just that. Backed by mesmerizing production from Ripsquad & Akachi, Bans and Leandoer traded off with energy-laced verses on counting cash and giving no mercy to the people that owe them. At first, it seemed like an odd collaboration, but after taking your first listen, you’ll instantly be craving more from these guys. Do yourself a favor and press play right now!

_

Audi – Smokepurpp

South Florida product Smokepurpp is back on the list with his first single from the “DEADSTAR” tape titled “Audi,” which was accompanied by an amazing music video. You can always count on Lil’ Purpp to bring the most energy in his tracks, as the Ronny J-produced hit rides a gritty beat filled with hard-hitting, distorted bass which is a trademark in Purpp’s sound. He doesn’t want friends, he just wants Audi’s. You’d best be giving this one a spin right now.

Sneakin’ Around – Loren Joseph

Loren Joseph is a regular on our pages, and he is making his first appearance on the Top Songs list with “Sneakin Around” which dropped a couple of weeks ago. With help from Loren’s go-to producer Flight, the Chicago rapper unleashed his ear-catching flow on his girl sneaking around over the wavy production. This also happens to be the second single from his forthcoming album, so you can be sure to expect more heat coming our way very soon.

_

Pressure – Alex Wiley

Coming off his “Village Party III: Stoner Symphony” album in January, Alex Wiley makes his debut on the Top Songs list with “Pressure” featuring L.A. based-producer CRSN. It’s already well-known that Wiley’s lyricism is undeniable, and it’s safe to say he absolutely murdered his verse over the piano-laced production from CRSN and CBASS. We can only hope that Wiley has more in the tank for us very soon, but for now, let “Pressure” hold you down until the next banger from the Chicago artist.

_

Go With The Flow – UnoTheActivist

Uno has been featuring on a handful of tracks as of late, and luckily, we were given a hot new record from the Atlanta rapper this month titled “Go With The Flow.” The high-energy track saw production from Krooks who cooked up the chiming beat for Uno to spit his charismatic bars over. Not only that, this is the first single from Uno’s forthcoming “Live.Shyne.Die” tape, and you can probably expect to see some crazy features from upcoming names like Warhol.SS and Thouxanbanfauni who actually recruited Uno for his track “Beam Me Up” earlier this month. Do yourself a favor and let this one rattle through your speakers right now.

Overwhelming – MattOX

It would only be right to feature arguably the youngest upcoming name out of Philly right now in MattOX. The lyrical genius who has yet to share his age dropped off his most successful record titled “Overwhelming” this month, which also came with a wild, fidget spinner-inspired visual. With production from Oogie Mane, MattOX showcased once again that he is on his own wave with kid-friendly lyricism and masterful autotune vocals beyond his years. If you ask me, this kid has a bright future ahead of him, and we can only expect that he’ll continue to grow his fanbase and work with some of the hottest names in the industry. Need I say more?

Thanks for checking out this months list! Be on the lookout for the next list in the month of June.
