Hip Hop fans should be paying very close attention to the noise being made in Cleveland, Ohio. The Land’s surging music scene has introduced me to a litany of talented individuals making inspiring rap. One of the artists I am keeping a very close eye on is Qdajuice. Stylistically, the Cleveland-based rapper could best be described as alien-like; attacking verses in varied voices creating an overwhelming effect alongside his powerfully introspective lyrics. His latest visual for his project-cut, “SPLIT,” is a powerful display of his ability as a rapper, lyricist and overall song-maker. Starring alongside himself in the video, Qdajuice brings to life the internal back-and-forth within himself when describing the “good and “bad.” The Kyle Hammonds-directed visual impressively highlights the eery moments of introspective reflection throughout the three-minute showcasing. Check out the cleverly inventive and abstract performance of Qdajuice in his new video for “SPLIT” below.
