Reverse! – [Natenumbaeight]

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about music in the current digital age of music, it’s that there are literally no boundaries that artists need to follow anymore. Just as Natenumbaeight, one of the most captivating and creative artists in the entire industry, yet you can never tell if he is constantly trolling just to joke or if he’s going to win a Grammy one day. Either way, Nate is no stranger to the spotlight considering a plethora of his spur of the moment freestyles responding to internet videos go viral more often than not, so if you’re not familiar with his name, you might be familiar with freestyles like his “FuckedUpInTheCribFreestyle.mp4” or “MonkeyBonerFreestyle.mp4”.

Now, if you’re not familiar with his antics online, then his musical style might catch you by surprise, but there’s no denying his lyrical abilities when it comes to the wordplay he uses throughout his music, and even the harshest of critics would have to agree with that. This is evident in a song called “Reverse!” which came out about a month ago, so yes, I know I’m late to the party.

Nonetheless, the homie FatBoyBrick actually produced this hit, utilizing some inquisitive and almost ominous synths, bouncy drums, and chattering hats and claps that come together for a fast-paced offering that creates a crazy foundation for Nate to show off his skills. When he comes in, his bars are intentionally off-kilter as he makes his way throughout the track, yet just when he seems to almost get too far away from the tempo, he finds the beat, quickens his cadence, and gets right back on track.

His personality is definitely the most mesmerizing part of his music considering he just acts like himself in every situation and he rides with whatever spews out of his mouth. While some others might look at some of his music as comedic or laughable at times, the way he is able to bring such entertaining lyricism to every single offering he drops is nothing short of legendary, and so whether you personally like it or not, you have to respect the hell out of it.

At the end of the day, Nate doesn’t really seem to take things too seriously at all, but this carefree, say whatever he wants type of attitude is a large part of why he has amassed a pretty impressive underground following while also earning the respect of countless other counterparts in the music industry. While other artists seem to look at their music as a do-or-die situation, Nate seems to just make what he likes, thinks is funny, and also what he thinks sounds good, and more often than not he has a hit on his hands. “Reverse!” is no different whatsoever, so whether you know what you’re getting into or not, you need to make a point to check out one of Natenumbaeight’s as soon as you get the chance.
