Ever since he dropped his most popular song to date, myself and fans alike have been waiting for the re-emergence of Co-Stanza. Back in March, the Chicago native made his presence known with the statement track, “I Don’t Mind”, which has been performing exponentially well on streaming platforms; already garnering 250,000+ streams on Spotify alone. The popularity and appeal of the song is an obvious indication that the up and coming talent has a knack for music and possesses the ability to create something that listeners will gravitate to.
After a long 5 months, the wait for more music has finally ended as Co-Stanza releases his long awaited follow-up to “I Don’t Mind” in a song called, “Test The Water”. The new offering, produced by Peter Fenn is a beautiful and lively way for this rising artist to step back onto the scene. Mixing his unique vocals with a production style that is undeniably great, you get a late summer bop that came just at the right time. As infectious as the song is, this new offering by Co-Stanza comes with an inspirational call to action message surrounding the importance of taking that leap of faith. The 2 minute and 50 second piece pulls from Co-Stanza’s experience moving away from Chicago. He explains in a quote:
“Moving away from Chicago was unbelievably scary. I had no idea what to expect and no guarantee of anything working out. I never would’ve known I’d meet such amazing people and be surrounded by such beautiful spaces. I’m now so thankful I made the move and want others to feel the confidence to make big decisions and changes, you never know how it’ll turn out!”
It’s a fact that Co-Stanza is delivering amazing music. I’m excited to see how the rest of the year shapes up for this young talent. “Test The Water” is available everywhere. I’ve attached the Spotify link down below, so give it a listen and let us know what you think!
