A little over a month ago, Brockton, MA natives Luke Bar$ and Jiles teamed up for the notably well-received project, 2 Sides. Not only did this 5-track offering set the bar high for Massachusetts artists this year, but it also set the tone for the path that Bar$ and Jiles are currently on as they continue to blow expectations out of the water. Today, we see this yet again as the duo lets loose a brand new music video for one of my personal favorite songs off of 2 Sides, “OK OK.”
Reflecting the ominous instrumental and chilling deliveries at hand here, it only makes sense that the visuals tell the story of the song through a dark set of scenes. Dimly lit only by the power of a flashlight, the music video portrays Jiles, Luke Bar$, and a few others in a way that screams “up to no good,” and the result is a truly impeccable visual companion for such a well-executed song. 2 Sides certainly created its own world and told a story, but with these visuals as the accompaniment, it’s becoming so much more; at this point, Bar$ and Jiles have created a world of their own, and quite frankly, it’s incredible.
That said, Luke Bar$, Jiles, and Brockton as a whole are ready to turn heads this year, so be sure not to sleep. Check out “OK OK” below and let us know what you think in the comments!
