North Miami, Florida artist Tafia makes his Lyrical Lemonade debut with his highly impressive debut album, Mention My Name. The introductory Dream Chasers/Roc Nation signee wasted no time to deliver a quality body of work, as this record contains sixteen complete tracks and/or certified bangers. With strong complementary features from Rob49, Vory, Jeremih, DaVido, and notably Young Dolph (rip), the featureless songs are just as appealing due to Tafiaâs credibility as a top-tier rapper. Production wise the beats consistently absorb the listener; Mention My Name is an excellent example of a trap album that doesnât suffer from repetition. While every track is in fact a banger, the overall vibe isnât uniform to the point of predictability. Thanks to the rapid production, the album flows quickly to correspond with the intense authentic street-storytelling, lessons and gradual upbringing told by Tafia. In terms of standouts, âLove Meâ is my personal favorite sonically and lyrically, but I promise you that there are no skippable joints on this project. Tafia has arrived, and with a debut as thrilling as this release, he certainly wonât be absent anytime soon. Listen to Mention My Name by Tafia below!
