Here are a few new singles and projects to check out this week from some of your favorite artists.
Platinum-selling Chicago hip-hop rapper G Herbo announced his new album, Survivor’s Remorse, with its lead single “Me, Myself & I” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. The Joe Bracero-directed video depicts both artists taking over a classic New York basketball court, overlooking the city from its rooftops, as they trade bars on the hypnotic beat. Herbo discusses the demons and struggles he has been facing since 25, while A Boogie’s melodic chorus speaks on being in a lane of his own.
Earlier this year, Herbo blessed us with his single “Locked In”, an emotional tribute to this late brother. With two impressive singles thus far, Survivor’s Remorse is gearing up to be another powerful body of work from the Chicago emcee.
In less than a year, CMG artist GloRilla has achieved life-changing milestones after the release of her hit single “FNF”. The viral #FNFChallenge on TikTok generated over 32 million views (and counting) on YouTube and resulted in GloRilla’s acclaimed debut on the Billboard Hot 100. GloRilla’s success has garnered widespread support across the hip-hop community, receiving co-signs from hip-hop superstars like Travis Scott, Cardi B, Saweetie, Latto, and many more. Who would have known that a beat that was originally meant for Megan Thee Stallion, would change the Memphis artist life forever? Glorilla’s deep voice and distinct sound are exactly what’s missing in the game right now.
On September 9, Glorilla recruited City Girls rapper JT and Atlanta rapper Latto to create an explosive remix to F.N.F.
[I’m F-R-E-E, hold up, stop the beat/I’m a motherfuckin’ city girl, ain’t shit free ’bout me (Ayy)/You a fraudulent ass ho, nigga, actin’ like you on, nigga/You ain’t been in shit since that PPP loan, nigga (Hahaha)]
This remix will surely keep Glorilla’s summer anthem alive during the upcoming season.
2022 has been an amazing year for platinum superstar Coi Leray. From dropping her latest project Trendsetter, collaborating with hip-hop sensation Nicki Minaj, and reaching new heights in her career, Coi has shown no signs of letting up anytime soon. Last week, the Uptown Records/Republic Records artist revealed her new single “Fly Sh!t.” Bouncing over a flute-laced loop and bass-heavy beat with her melodic flow, Coi proves why she is an artist to watch in 2022. As a female artist in 2022, Coi’s music continues to separate her from her peers with his distinct sound, and her welcoming personality.
Breakout Florida rapper Goldenboy Countup just released his mixtape titled Chicken Man 3 via Simple Stupid/Geffen Records. This is the third installment in Goldenboy’s mixtape series, but this might be the best yet. The project contains 16 tracks with features from Doe Boy and Bankroll Freddie. To support his new project, the rising superstar debuted the visuals for “Dog Shit” (feat. Doe Boy). In the Utdfilms shot video, Goldenboy combines his modern flair of Florida with the hard-knock style of Detroit with his continuous flows alongside Doe Boy’s talented wordplay over a set of subtle strings and pronounced piano keys. The duo came together to produce a record I didn’t know my music catalog was missing. It’s wonderful to witness Goldenboy finally receive the recognition he deserves.
Growing up in the early 2000s, it was damn near impossible to not be a fan of Blink 182, and trust me, most of us here at Lyrical Lemonade were massive fans of the band growing up. Now here we are many years later and this was a massive week...
Every social media platform has been jam-packed for the past week or so with memes and content based on Lil Yachty’s snippet for this record “Poland” which officially dropped on DSP’s last night. Lyrical Lemonade has a very close relationship with Lil Yachty, so it made perfect sense to fully...
