Lollapalooza 2015 has officially wrapped up, as the huge music festival in the heart of Chicago raised hell in the city this past weekend. There were plenty of great musical acts including: Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Raury, Kygo, Metallica, Logic, SZA, Mick Jenkins, G-Eazy, Paul McCartney, Young Thug, Travis Scott (kinda) and more. Chicago’s own Vic Mensa made an appearance on each day of the festival, performing with Dillon Francis on Friday, G-Eazy on Saturday night, and A$AP Rocky on Sunday. A$AP Rocky showed much love to Chicago, shouting out Chance The Rapper and Chief Keef, he also performed a new record featuring Keef titled “Superheros.” On Saturday, Houston native Travis Scott got taken off of the stage and possibly arrested, as he cussed out security over the mic and demanded that fans break down the barricade and joined him on stage. After too many fans got on stage (Travis asked for 10 ragers) Lolla security and the rapper himself asked for festival goers to get off the stage, after plenty of failed attempts and much confusion (and blindsides by security) Travis was pulled off of stage by Lollapolooza security, all while flipping off the Chicago crowd. Worth noting he was already 30 minutes late to his set because he was “taking the ultimate amount of drugs,” Travis only performed a few songs before the madness. The highlight of the festival for me personally was Kid Cudi, as he performed under the Chicago skyline on Saturday night, delivering an amazing show and even jumping around in the crowd for the “Pursuit of Happiness” remix. Hopefully you were able to make it out this weekend, but if not check out some of the (fan perspective) clips my buddy Lane Cowherd caught of Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Raury, and Travis Scott during the festival below.
