“IDGNF – But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t give a fuck about anything. Or anyone. I’d be lying if I said I
didn’t pray for success for my family and friends. I’d be lying to say I didn’t have regrets, that I handled shit
wrong, that I said/did some shit I didn’t really mean. I’d be lying to say I don’t have feelings, that I don’t care.
That would be a lie. I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel jaded, overlooked, selfish, abrasive and stubborn. I’d
be lying if I said I didn’t care about what people said, how people felt, how does what I do affect others. I’d be
lying if I said I wasnt compassionate, considerate, but a know it all. I’d be lying if I said I was arrogant, lost,
and childish at times. But Ima keep it a buck wit you, I DONT GIVE NO FUCK AND YOU SHOULDNT
EITHER. This is your sign to really take your shit up a notch. Myself included. So Watch me work family. I
love you!!” – Dave Coresh
LA-based, punk-rock inspired artist Dave Coresh returns to Lyrical Lemonade with my favorite song of his yet entitled “IDGNF.” Explicitly standing for “I Don’t Give No Fuck,” Coresh absolutely annihilates a spacey, bass-heavy, experimentally driven instrumental with epic variations of rap flows. Vowing to keep it reckless, this offering could be a very fitting anthem for a misunderstood villain and/or anti-hero in a film or TV series. Moreover, if anyone that knows JPEGMAFIA personally is reading this piece, tell him to hop on the remix! As Coresh implies himself, “IDGNF” is more so a veiled self-confidence record as opposed to an apathetic one. Rather than beating ourselves up for our own flaws and hypocrisies, Dave’s message is to simply accept every part of ourselves for eventual growth. Sometimes, it’s best to just say “IDGNF.” Peep the track below!
