For Tonight – [Giveon]

There are not too many artists out there that I can say have been having the run that Giveon has been having. From Grammy nominations, millions of streams, Billboard Hot 100 placements, festival appearances, and more. Giveon has been absolutely killing the R&B game and I can definitively say that he’s one of the best out right now hands down. As he is gearing up to start his “Timeless” tour this Fall, he has been teasing new music for some time now. Over the weekend, Giveon dropped off an amazing new track and stunning visuals for his song “For Tonight”.

In this song, Giveon speaks to the feeling he gets from spending time with this significant person, but only for one night. While there are many people who may steer away from this type of behavior, Giveon sings about how much he loves it and needs it. “Lead me on, but leave before the morning comes” he sings in one of the opening lines of the song, assuring this significant other that he wants nothing more than a night of fun with them. While the song itself is somewhat upbeat, the visuals are pretty dark-toned, giving off that feeling of it being such a dark topic. Behavior as such is often looked at as a bad thing, but Giveon finds joy in it.

As we anticipate another full-length album from Giveon, watch the visuals for his new single “For Tonight” below!
