The 29-year-old rapper and songwriter Blackie Chan has spent the last seven years putting in work and building a name for himself within the industry. Supported by close friends and influential people like Young Breed, Rick Ross, Gunplay, and Tafia, Chan was inspired to become a rapper. Growing up in Miami Gardens aka Murder Gardens, it wasn’t easy making it out of a neighborhood with limited opportunities. However, the independent artist’s life experiences fueled his desire to pour his feelings into his music. For the past three years, Blackie Chan has been in the booth, creating fire hits like “MG to NM ft. Tafia, which has nearly 8k views on Youtube, and “No License” featuring BabyFace Ray. He also released a fun, catchy dance song titled “Woah” produced by Hoodrich Keem.

Since the pandemic happened, Chan has channeled his creativity into the booth where he has recorded over 30 songs. Eventually, these songs will turn into a life-changing album or EP, but as of right now, the multifaceted rapper is focused on releasing and pushing singles.

Recently Blackie Chan hit the stage at Rolling Loud Miami to perform his song “Gucciana” which features Meek Mill’s Dream Chaser artist Tafia. The crowd fell in love with his energy and that made Chan’s confidence skyrocket. Before the year is over, fans can look out for his anticipated project titled Rush Hour.
