Drankin N Smokin – [Future] & [Lil Uzi Vert]

It has been just about two months since Future and Lil Uzi decided to reveal a secret project entitled Pluto x Baby Pluto, and I think it’s safe to say that music fans have been eating it up ever since. While it’s hard to say that this is one of the best collaborative albums to ever come out, or even the best collaborative album featuring either of these two artists, it did its job without question and we have a plethora of bangers to serve as the soundtrack for any gather we might be able to have at some point this year.

Undoubtedly, one of the best and most played songs on the album has to be “Drankin N Smokin”, and while I personally tend to gravitate towards other cuts off of the project, this is definitely not a bad song in any sense of the word. Luckily, the tag team got together to shoot a wild new music video directed by DJ Esco and Sam Lecca, and the fun just keeps on going. As it opens up on a giant mansion, Lil Duval invites Future and Uzi to the estate in order to have a party, tempting them with the fact that he has six women in every room and a total of sixteen rooms. Obviously, for Future and Uzi, they were most likely on their way before he even finished his sentence, and some luxurious cars pull up to the house in the following scene.

As the song begins, Future enters the home and walks through a few rooms and random hallways, proving Duval’s point that there are legitimately countless women in every corner of the house. Eventually, we’re taken to an in-house strip club of sorts where women are dancing, and money falls down from the ceiling. Uzi’s first appearance comes on an ATV that he’s flying down the street on doing wheelies. The next thing he knew, he was pulled over by the cops but smoothly evaded a ticket by jumping in another car that seemed to be heading to the same party that Future was at. Comically, the video ends with some bloopers brought to us by Lil Duval and Casino, who also makes an appearance throughout as the security guard for the mansion.

While there might not be an insane plot or storyline to follow while the song goes on, I loved the addition of Lil Duval and Casino because it provided a nice backstory and some comic relief to help the video stand out even more than it would have in their absence. Aside from that, there’s just something that’s so compelling when Future and Uzi get together, whether that’s on a song or in a music video, and their chemistry simply speaks for itself. Although we already have a deluxe version of the dynamic duo’s album, I’m definitely hoping for more albums from them in the future, and I know for a fact I’m not the only one with these aspirations. “Drankin N Smokin” is the newest music video from Future and Lil Uzi vert featuring Lil Duval and Casino, and it’s definitely a must-watch, so make sure you do so whenever you get a moment.
