If you enjoy exploring new artists as much as I do, Queens-born singer/rapper Towhid sound be on your radar. Currently signed to 7 Kings Entertainment & Cash Money, the Atlanta-based artist released his latest single “Big Body” produced by Niko, Scandi, and YungSwisher. While some listeners might think this song is about a suburban, the meaning behind the track is much deeper.
“‘Big Body’ isn’t just about the suburban, it’s also about me- basically saying I’m not the guy to play around with,” explains Towhid. “Knowing most of these women aren’t worth it, and how too many guys pipe up over their girl and try to go big on big towards the wrong ppl, for someone we don’t take seriously at all.”
Shot and directed by ShotByMike, the video takes place inside Towhid Suburban and the club. The video is centered around a long triangle between a woman and her boyfriend, who’s acting possessive while she’s being unfaithful. While Towhid ends up with the girl, he knows she isn’t worth the fight nor his trust.
Towhid melodic bars capture your ears from start to finish. It’s a wonderful sight to see the artist he is becoming. We look forward to more music from him this year.
