“Adi Oasis is the artist who has been growing inside of me. Creating this EP during one of the weirdest times in our modern history — not just the pandemic, but these difficult political times, global warming, our ongoing struggle against racism, etc. — has helped me find a deeper meaning for why I make music and what being an artist means to me. Music is my oasis, the stage is my oasis, the studio is my oasis. No matter what is going on in the world, I can always find a magical place to go to. No matter how dry the world surrounding me can be, I know where to find a source of freshwater and a fertile ground where plants grow. And that’s within me. Adi Oasis is inside of me” – Adeline
French-Caribbean singer, bassist and producer, Adeline makes her Lyrical Lemonade debut with a dazzling new EP offering titled Adi Oasis. With a refreshing 7-songs total, the project employs a glorious mixture of R&B & neo-soul with sprinkled elements of groovy funk and nu-disco. Instrumentally the piano is memorable on every track, and vocally Adeline’s polished vocals are never outshined despite the extraordinary production throughout the entire record. Moreover, there’s an enjoyable selection for nearly any listener as the EP’s variety provides a fine thematical balance of gravity and delectation. Furthermore, the brilliance of Adeline’s artistry is immediately understood via the lovely blend of modern and traditional influences; namely the lively instrumentals versus her mature operatic qualities. Overall, Adi Oasis is undeniably one of the best projects I’ve heard all year, and it certainly will be in my rotation for quite some time well beyond 2021. Naturally, I highly recommend playing the EP from start to finish, since no track is skip worthy. Have a listen below!
