Behind The Track: C-Moski

By Tobbylola // 13 May 2022

We’re back again with the Lyrical Lemonade: Behind The Track feature. This week I decided to put the spotlight on C-Moski from Memphis, Tennessee. Moski always had an ear for music, however, he didn’t pursue his career as a producer until his thriving football career came to an end. Sometimes, it’s not what you know, but who you know. Thanks to Blac Youngsta and Ju his manager, Moski had the opportunity to become a part of Heavy Camp and produce three records on ‘Fu*k Everybody 2’ in 2018. Moski began to gain more recognition in 2021 after linking up with 1017 hottest artists on the rise, Pooh Shiesty. Moski is the face behind Pooh Shiesty’s smash Hit “Neighbors” featuring BIG30. This song received over 62 million views on Youtube and went on to become RIAA certified gold on May 27, 2021. The following year, “Neighbors” went platinum on January 18, 2022. I had the opportunity to learn more about C-Moski and his growth throughout the years. Check our interview out below. — Lyrical Lemonade: Where did you grow up? North Memphis, Douglass & Raleigh areas.  Lyrical Lemonade: Were you always involved with music growing up? Or was it something you …

Cash Money Artist Towhid Drops Visuals To “BIG BODY”

By Tobbylola // 13 May 2022

If you enjoy exploring new artists as much as I do, Queens-born singer/rapper Towhid sound be on your radar. Currently signed to 7 Kings Entertainment & Cash Money, the Atlanta-based artist released his latest single “Big Body” produced by Niko, Scandi, and YungSwisher. While some listeners might think this song is about a suburban, the meaning behind the track is much deeper. “‘Big Body’ isn’t just about the suburban, it’s also about me- basically saying I’m not the guy to play around with,” explains Towhid. “Knowing most of these women aren’t worth it, and how too many guys pipe up over their girl and try to go big on big towards the wrong ppl, for someone we don’t take seriously at all.” Shot and directed by ShotByMike, the video takes place inside Towhid Suburban and the club. The video is centered around a long triangle between a woman and her boyfriend, who’s acting possessive while she’s being unfaithful. While Towhid ends up with the girl, he knows she isn’t worth the fight nor his trust. Towhid melodic bars capture your ears from start to finish. It’s a wonderful sight to see the artist he is becoming. We look forward to …

By Tobbylola // 11 May 2022

Crash Rarri has been blowing up since the release of his hit single “RGB”. The Insomniac crew rapper merges Atlanta trap mixed with Chicago drill and Florida lo-fi Soundcloud stylings, to create his own lane. Rarri’s latest single “Peach Tree” produced by First World Problems, brings raw insight into a day in the life of Crash Rarri. “I’m in a Range Rover sliding on Peachtree, it’s just another day. iPhone dunking off the wrist, it’s just another play. Bad bitch wanna eat me up, it’s just another face. Garlic butter dripping off my shrimp that’s just another taste. Dior on my pedal to the floor, don’t ever touch the brakes. RARRI is you scamming or you trapping”? I do what it takes.” Shot by Zenen Saneshige, Rarri cruises around in an AMG around Beverly Hills in one clip, and then a Range Rover driving down Peach Tree in another. His lifestyle can be described as fast-paced, luxurious, and chasing the bag by any means necessary. His brutal punchlines over a drill-like beat are why Rarri’s career continues to take off. His talent is undeniable, and with each release, the quality of his music improves. We’re excited to see Rarri grow …

By Tobbylola // 9 May 2022

IshDARR is finally back on the scene after a long hiatus. The melodic rapper has been making a name for himself since his summer anthem “Too Bad” in 2015. His latest single ‘Holy Moly’ is another example of how the Milwaukee hip-hop artist continues to produce amazing records. “This song serves as a loosie for my friends & family. Safe to say I am here to stay. Lot more on the way as well,” He shares. “I hope everyone enjoys this comeback and I am looking forward to the next one. Thinking of June we come right back… Let’s get it.” The two-minute high-ripping energetic track produced by Atlanta producer 808 Fierce and long time collaborator Canis Major proves IshDARR isn’t going anywhere no time soon. His heavy punchlines couldn’t go unnoticed on this track. Throughout the song, Ish spoke about how he feels his sole opponent has been him musically and also getting used to his new stardom. “ I just spoke to OG like why these new n*ggas keep breaking? Best known for her hard-hitting rap and commanding flow, Lakeyah has proven she earned her spot in the music game. Last week, Lakeyah debuted her latest single “I Look Good”. Over a thumping bass line pulsating through heavy 808s, Lakeyah switched it up on her fans, with her latest single. “Pretty, petite Aaliyah. Big as* shades on, feelin’ like Sia. Pass me the hookah, no sangria. Shop in Chanel like it’s IKEA (Hey). I get a bag (Uh), re-up. If it’s a problem (B*tch), T-up. New paper tag, girl, speed up. These n*ggas drama, Madea.” Directed by Keemotion, Lakeyah instructs a workout in an iced-out QC chain, and a complete pink outfit. Her confidence, style, and flow took this music video up another notch. By Tobbylola // 6 May 2022

Straight out of Cobb County, GA, Lil Kee is thriving in the rap scene. Widely known for his singles “Fake Sh*t” ft. 42 Dugg and “Catch A Murder” with hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify and over 5M views combined on Youtube, Kee’s talent continues to improve with each release. Most recently, the 4PF signee released his latest single “Letter 2 My Brother”. Produced by the late multi-platinum hitmaker Turn Me Up Josh, this single displayed a new level of unfiltered emotions. Kee dedicated this track to his late older brother, Lamar, who provided for his parents and his siblings. The melancholic piano chords and wailing guitar riffs mixed with Kee’s powerful lyrics were a beautiful way to honor and carry on his brother’s legacy. “Every song I make, it’s gonna be something about my brother in it,” Kee shared. “I could make a million songs and it’s going to be something about my brother in it – no matter what. I don’t care if it’s a happy song – my brother is going to be in it no matter what.” Kee’s ability to turn his pain into stories and share it in his music is mind-blowing. This summer, …
