By Tobbylola // 30 Jan 2023

Underground artist Sid Shyne has captured my attention since his performance at our 2022 Summer Smash festival. Anyone present for his set would attest that Shyne’s ability to control the crowd was an incredible experience to watch. Ever since, I’ve been hooked on the rising artist’s music, watching his growth over the last few months. This week, the Atlanta artist debuted his latest project to date titled Dreams Unlocked with features from BKThaRula and Unotheactivist.  “The concept for Dreams Unlocked revolves around overcoming adversity and going to any extent to achieve your goals. It was inspired by my real-life experiences of finally starting to see a lot of my dreams come to life like touring all over the country and shutting down festivals,” Shyne explained about the project. “Through my music, I wanna show people that nothing is impossible and give them a reason to never give up on their dreams.”  Take some time to check out his new project today.

Gary Williams, also known as Foreign Glizzy, uses music to discuss his upbringing and act as an inspiration to his audience. Last year, he released a “Foreign Exchange” project through his independent label, Foreign Family Records. Glizzy’s most famous hit, “Road Running,” with a sick drum beat that oozes bass and West Coast Funk. In his song, he flashes racks of cash and spits over a sick drill beat. He states that he didn’t stop grinding until he got everything he deserved; this is the motivation he wants others to hear—they should never give up. The California artist seeks to inspire inner-city youth that they, too, can make it in life. Jake Strain Drop Hints “Wanna Be Rappers”

By Tobbylola // 23 Jan 2023

Jake Strain stays true to his penmanship with subliminal hidden messages with his new track before 2023 comes with “Wanna Be Rappers”. Throughout the song, Jake explains that there’s a deeper message within his music dropping hints and knowledge that most of these artists don’t really belong in the industry. Breaking the industry independently, by cracking the code of how to get on as an independent artist, it’s a lot more than just smoke and mirrors. “Fund the label, and I got it started, I’m the one that goes the hardest galaxy and they shit is stardust they don’t the market managing and I A&R it, drop a track and I go and chart it all these rappers but they ain’t an artist, all I know is that their shit is garbage all these actors but became a target.”  Take some time to check out his latest single below.
